General spells

I am a lvl 11 Gnome Necro, and trying to figure out where I can buy general spells. ie. Gate, root, etc.
If anyone could tell me a place to get these spells, I would be eternally grateful :)

Best place to find out who sells spells that a necro and/or Ikky can get to is Allakazam's web pages. It will tell you who and what zone you can get a spell in if its from a vendor. Most all spells are sold in Pok if you a have access.

There should be a "General Spells" merchant on your guild somewhere. If not there, try the magician/wizard guild.

For iksars, this merchant is located outside the necro guild, to the left with your back tured to your guild.
I am pretty sure gnomes have one genearl spell merchant inside wizard/enchanter/magician guild in Ak'Anon (sp?!?!).

i believe a few of those are sold in the bazaar too, one of the first few vendors near the nexus entrance

Another thing to check on the Allakhazam page is what other classes use that spell if they don't tell you a specific vendor in the zone you want. If you can't find it on a necro spell vendor, try the spell vendor for another class that uses that spell. Most things are available in pok somewhere.
