*** Pet window changes ***

* With the new pet functionality you will have some of the following changes available to you:

* New pet UI! You will be able to assign buttons to all pet commands in the pet window!
* Pet target will be displayed under your pets hp bar so you will always know who your pet is attacking!
* Toggleable buttons throughout the pet UI for sit/stand, follow/guard, focus, hold, taunt, and spell hold!
* New pet text based commands! You will now be able to toggle all states off or on, or simply toggle the state with a pet text based command. For example, /pet focus on, /pet focus off, /pet focus.
* New pet attack command will switch your pet to attack the new target regardless of AA's or level. Great for new and low level players! (Old command will still exist as qattack).
* New pet hold functionality!
* New pet focus + pet hold functionality (call this pet state "pet convergence" ). Now, when you turn on both the focus and hold states, your pet will attack SPECIFICALLY what you want it to and when finished won't attack or aggro or do anything else.
* Improved /pet back off. Fully clears the hate list and stops your pet from doing whatever it was doing before.
* Bug fixes for: focus failing to work properly when aggroed in certain situations, PERSISTENT pet states now hold on zoning, on logout, and will now be persistent.

*** Buff windows ***

* Made some significant changes to the way buffs are sent to the client to fix a slew of bugs and commonize things with the target buff window. Please watch for any issues with the buff and short term buff windows.

*** Bard changes ***

* Bard instrument mods are now using the focus system. All bard instruments now have a focus effect that amounts to the same bonus the instrument was getting previously. The display is somewhat different. As an example, prior to this change, a percussion mod of 28 was a 2.8x multiplier on effects. This will now be displayed as a focus effect like "Percussion Resonance 18" that gives a 180% boost to percussion. This is equivalent to the original 2.8x multiplier.
* Bard songs can now be capped individually and a system has been put in place to allow much better scaling of bard song effects and focuses in the future.

*** Misc ***

* Fixed an issue where players were getting kill credit even though they did not out-damage NPCs that were attacking the mob.
* Eye of Zomm can now be cast while on a mount.
* Fixed some issues with players being unable to get out of water when they have low swimming skill.
* Recast shader should now be visible in the potion belt window.
* Fixed a few bugs dealing with corpse targeting using the group window.
* Fixed a problem with the tank merc AI that caused the merc (when set to main tank) to get in a loop trying to bazu bellow its target, when a number of other targets nearby are mezzed cause it to not actually attack.
* Added a hover over "percentage" tooltip to the AA Exp bar in the inventory window.
* Made some changes to the code introduced in the last live patch that reset your spell timers when a spell fails to land. Keep an eye out for any problems with spell gems permanently greying out or similar issues.

*** Design changes ***

* Ostorm in the Temple of Solusek Ro will properly reset your specializations regardless of how high your skill is.
* Bard instrument effects have been converted to use a new type of focus effect. The functionality of all items should remain the same.
* Tradeskilled Pure Powersources can now be unlocked with SoF and SoD raids. Past kills will work to unlock these items.
* Tavid Dennant in the guild lobby has a limited amount of items that players can use to alter their Seeds of Destruction Armor. He does not sell these like the quest items he holds, but will give them to you if you talk to him about [items].
* Some versions of Zebuxoruk will now sell Temporal Polymorphic Cells. These cells will transform a Luminessence to an Incandessence and vice versa.
* Zebuxoruk now trades purity augments for chronobines.
* Modified stats and mods on most armor from Seeds of Destruction.
* Added Slot 15 to Tier 3 and 4 armor (both group and raid)
* Armor Emblems will now increase with SoD armor as you have more armor of the same tier, instead of same set.
* Added Focus Effects to SoD T3 Raid breastplates.
* Added Backstab Skill mod to Inured, Elegant and Stalwart Daggers and Short Spears.
* Fixed the level limit on the focus and click spells on the SoD breastplates that were set too low.

*** Changed files ***

* EQUI_TargetWindow.xml
* EQUI_PetInfoWindow.xml
* EQUI_OptionsWindow.xml
* EQUI_PetCommandSelectWnd.xml
* EQUI.xml

I would expect some problems with custom UIs with the new pet window changes. We'll be looking to fix any crashes caused by this, though updating UIs will be necessary to make use of pets properly.

*** NOTE ***

It looks like a lot of custom UI folk are crashing. That crash will be fixed in the next patch. In the meantime you can use the new PetInfoWindow, which seems to be the source of most of the crashes.

Gear has had mods altered and heroics. Not just boosted to make better than last expansions, but reduced in some places also...for reasons unknown. So the sets you've already worked out will now be changed so you can tear them apart and rebuild.

I've only got 3 pieces of t5 armor so far, but here are some updates

New pet ui is useful, but the current downside is that all of the pet ability hot keys reset to default when you log or LD out of game So pathing them to keys is bad juju if you do not use the default set.

The devs still have not released the actual workings of heroics - everything we know has been put out in a vague general sense, or from players parsing extensively.

One of the theories behind heroics is an advantage given when your "total" heroics add up to be over 100, 200, 300, 400, etc. If this truely is the case, then wis/str/dex might not be a total waste.

What sort of advantage? Some hidden innate avoidance or crit or something?

like you will get more benefit from heroic int if your total is higher or something.

If it doesnt do that though... why did they put heroic wisdom on the gear :(

What do you mean wisdom isn't the primary stat for necro! Damn I knew I had something wrong all this time. :rolleyes:

Itemization has never been their strong suit. They probably stuck it on there to make it look nice or as part of some template.

That being said, High Epic Int has been shown to give mana regen, so maybe epic wisdom does too. But then again, it could always be a bonus to sense heading.

Not to mention pet hold is buggy as #@!# now.... The key is depressed in UI meaning it should be on, but your pet will just go whacking stuff on its merry way. Button could be depressed and he will not attack anything you tell him to. Should he have a mob on his hate list (despite hitting pet back off, which is "supposed" to clear his hate list) he will go right back to the last mob he was targeting last.

You put in a bug report I hope? Because that's clearly not working as intended. Hopefully they'll fix that up.

Until they fix it, suspend and unsuspend your pet. That should clear your pet's agro list completely.

This "bug" has happened at least two times before. PoR for sure, nodyin fixed it then..after some nifty log emails of me getting AE'd into oblivion in the theatre of blood(due to pet agro). Although in fairness, I think it broke because I asked him to make pet feign death clear it's agro list too...ohh well, good luck. If that doesn't work I'm sure someone else can tell you of another work around that is equally if not more cumbersome!

Another thing you might want to try(before suspending and unsuspending), is making another "/pet hold" and "/pet back off" key and keeping it on your traditional hotkey menu and forego using the pet ui and auto generated(if they are) keys that are there. If it's just the new menu(that they told us would not happen in tss beta..grrr) that's buggy, just go back to doing what you did before until they work out all the little kinks. That and push for an information display on the new menu, like..AC/hps and attack on your new pet ui. They said 'no' to that too, previously. Just tell'em they have it in WoW /wink.

Pet feign does seem to do this. When activated from the UI, Pet Hold becomes "activated" and your pet loses his target in his "pet target window." When you click Pet Follow and he stands up, he will not go running after whatever was kicking his backside, but it seems that Pet Feign does not clear your pet of the agro he generated all the time unless I am just being to hasty after he feigns. (Yes, I know about suspend/un-suspend)

They've actually come along way with feign death and how it works with pets. A long time ago..if you fd'd for 2 minutes your pet would die/suicide. Back then I used to joke with my guild necros that I was scared to let my pet stay feigned for any length of time..JIC the code would work the backwards too and kill me!

FD'ing your pet never used to clear the pet's hate list. It was requested at least every beta for the last several years..but due to one reason or another, it never came to be. I have absolutely no idea what their development cycle/schedule looks like anymore, maybe they'll actually find some time to fix things thoroughly instead of putting more bandaids on old bandaids. It's not nodyin's fault..he inherited a lot of hard coded, poorly written, legacy code. Bandaid fixes may be the only thing he can get "code" to allocate the time for.
