It has pretty good stats but this thing is UGLY ! I cast lich and click it off again just to lose the hat graphic. :) Anyone recommend something close or equivelent that's not too hard to obtain or to terribly expensive that I can replace this with ? Something that doesn't show up please ?? I'm not really concerned with the focus effect. TIA

Unfortunately can't look at magelo atm so don't know what lvl you are. But, assuming you are in 50's there are a few items such as the ornate helm which cost about 7k on saryrn. The red circlet of evoker(sp) think thats the name it will cost about 25k less you get a deal its from named in Drunder, Tactics. But if you got the cash my personal favorite one I am saving for is the White dragon helm 100 hp on it and nice saves but its a semi-quest item all you need is one drop forget which velious ruler you need its either yeli or Tmax also if you ever get a replacement helm it can be turned into FT3 boots which are pretty nice stats as well. Think the all have no graphic so shouldnt have a problem with that mostly problem will be cash needed. There are a few more items that will be less expensive but stats arent superb as these mentioned though the iornate helm leaves alot to be desired its not bad for non DE iksar necros.

Vorshar's Circlet has a nice chunk of health, but you'd lose a ton of MR. I live on Tallon Zek, and that simply wouldn't be tolerable for me.


If saves don't mean anything to you, I recommend camping a couple of Soulscream Belts, and then purchasing an Earthweave Cap with the cash you make, and selling that helm for some added platinum return.


Otherwise, bite the bullet and wear that hood. The focus is nice, and that MR is deeeeelicious. To quote a friend of mine, back when I was considering Blackened Iron Mail over Banded armor ...

That stuck with me for a long, long time. Wise words, imo.


The Look < Performance. When the Diaku Deathknight's snare bounces because of that extra magical resistance on the ugly hat, you'll know what I mean.


Besides -- Who cares if the hat happens to be ugly? You've got blue boobies. It all balances out, in the grand scheme of things, don'tcha think? :D

my ranger still wears a pretty gay looking hat & gets asked for ports all the time (looks like a dr00d :<) so i was kinda wondering if this hat would have a graphic or not & was glad to see that it didn't.
