Did a search and the last relevant post was back on 2007, so there may be better places/items to go for since then.

Almost 75 and needing plat. Any ideas on solo spots to farm vendor sellables that go for good cash? Maybe even bazaar stuff (tho I don't get much time to put my trader up).

If you are pretty well geared and can handle Fort Mech, it is a great place to earn some plat. All of the various mechano tablets and gears sell good to vendors and there is a vendor near the zone in so you don't have to make any trips, and if you must even jump down to the DSH banker to store stuff. Plus would be great exp at that level, but iirc at 75 I was only able to do 2 to 4 mobs before medding with decent gear at that level.

The snakes in Katta Castrum are good at that level. You can do the run for the faction to buy your spells and there are tons of trash drops (idols, scales, etc), not to mention lots of tradeskill stuff that you can unload on Buyers in the Bazaar). XP at 75 was really nice and if you think it's a little slow, just move in to Atiiki and do the Death Visage quest. Same trash drops from the Efreeti there, but much better xp. Once you are done with the Visage quest, you get to keep the armor. It's pretty cool to throw it on and just run around in (warrior plate look). :)

Aiiieeeee!!!! Not the snakes! Done them till my eyes bleed. 15 more quests and I'm ally and then I'm outta the dump, LOL.

Really need a new plat grind spot. Not happy with the GH snakes loot. The exp is pretty damned good as you mention tho, but time to move on in a few days. I'll look into the Death Visage quest.

Since you don't put a baz mule up very often, if plat is all you want then go to Temple of Droga and kill, kill, kill. If you can't clear 1kpp with 20 min effort at level 75 you are doing something wrong.

There is more infomation about this in the Members only section just FYI.

There are 4 basic ways to make money.
1)Be a tradeskiller and spend millions to get your skill high enough to one day make something that will sell for millions.
2)Farm stuff tradeskillers want, when they want it.
3)Find something that sells to an NPC vendor and farm the heck out of it.
4)Find something that players want and farm it and set up a bazaar mule.

You might try hobgoblin caves in PoNightmare (unless you're on AB!!!), lots of diamonds drop there and you can still sell the meat for a decent amount in the bazaar... other trade skill stuff works out well especially if you're looking at the one farmed component of an otherwise easy recipe that people will do to skill up easily. I make a decent amount of money off certain SoF spells that are currently irreplaceable (and in zones nobody wants to return to, ever) but you probably won't enjoy that much at 75.

...or dupe it yourself, sell it online, and buy a house. :)

Looks like I better become a "members only" then :p

I'm liking option 3 here. I did some thread mining yesterday and came across a post by Drazz I think it was that suggested to a returning necro the animals on old kith. So I checked it out on Alla's and this might be a good choice.

I'm preferring a level appropriate zone, fairly quiet (I think old kith on trib is quiet, more than FoS is anyways) with easy to kite mobs that drop stackable vendor loot (the stuff that ranges 25pp+, with less frequent gems etc).

That way I can still get exp and cash. I can bind in a safe spot close to a nice camp and PoK Brick to PoK when I need to. Are there vendors in old kith?

Other question is where is a good spot to camp the animals? I won't be able to get to old kith until the weekend (trying to finish katta merchant faction) so I'll do a little more research meantime.

Other zone suggestions (meeting above criteria) are welcome. I'm still newb with SoF and SoD zones (actually a newb with anything after PoP really, LOL).

Think I'll do the Atiki quests Drazz suggested when I need a break from plat farming.

Magelo is on the way. It's way out of date.

***Break***

Think I'll do the Atiki quests Drazz suggested when I need a break from plat farming.Atiiki actually has similar vendor loot. Beards drop from the Efreeti there and sell for about that, not to mention lots of tradeskill stuff that'll sell either on a Trader or to a Buyer in the Bazaar. Besides the couple hundred AAs I made there while doing the Death Visage quest, I made a quite a bit of plat also.

You may do this quest once you have completed Noble Sivrn's task arc (starting with "Names of the Sphinx" and ending with "Broken Lines").

Is this true for Death Visage Quest

Old Kith is a nice, quiet zone. I think the reason it is usually empty is because the named loot is not nearly as desirable as it is from other zones, plus it is also attunable. The animals there all roam so it makes having a "camp" rather difficult. The other problem would be adds while kiting. I use my sk main and drag my nec or any other of my toons around and just mow down all the critters. The battle fractured diamond is the most common "gem" and only gets about 9pp each but they add up pretty quick. The battle hardened diamond is fairly uncommon but sells for over 300pp (if I remember correctly) and there are various forms of other diamonds that drop as well. Some rk2 spells also drop. Pearlescent teeth from any of the animals sell for 15+pp and also the various body parts. There are 2 vendors, one of them (Silla) requires some faction to get the vendor window open. The guy standing next to her doesn't require any faction and both are near the zi.

Another favorite plat farming spot of mine is the pups in The Steppes. They drop a fair amount of coin, random diamonds, and the occassional rk2 spells. The mage weapon and armor spells (if you're lucky enough to have them drop) would probably fetch a good amount of plat from any mage that gave up trying to farm them.

Oh, both of those zones should also give good aa xp.

I almost forgot BoT. I like farming the courtyard. They drop lots of gems and are spaced far enough apart that single pulls are possible but again, kiting might bring adds. If your pet can tank them then you're in good shape

I like The Ruins of Old Paineel (aka The Hole). If you have the veteran Brells gate reward it's right by the port in. I clear the temple and do an easy 4k or so an hour in gems and defiant gear. Mobs drop 5-7pp and the zone is almost always empty.
