I just created a global announcement regarding the double xp Memorial day weekend & such. This is my first attempt at doing these.

Please feedback on if you like the idea of me doing these types of announcements, or if you find them annoying or feel they should be restricted to particular forums (not global), whatever.

The global announcements don't show up if you use the "Today's Posts" feature to navigate the forums so some people might never notice them. I think it's a good idea for important stuff, though.

Amending my previous post...the global announcement is now showing up using the New Posts feature.
