Valdeholm is currently the hot zone at 70-75.

When I departed from EQ, Valdeholm was home to the factions everyone wanted to raise. Since I'm currently dubious, pursuing the hotzone XP or tasks will result in me quickly becoming KOS to everything in the zone (as opposed to just some things). Is there any benefit at this latter date to retaining/raising Valdeholm factions?

don't kill the giants outside the gate, just inside...and the stuff on the lake is fine

A lot of people got faction from these guys with the diamond/aug quest and bracer quest..which was repeatable. I'm not sure just mass killing would be viable...at least not without a decent group that was prepped to stay in FC for a very long time.

There are a few pre-fc raids there..they suck, but they are there! I'm not sure how relevant it'd be for anyone as I can't really imagine a guild farming FC for any reason at all(tradeskilled gear from current exp is far superior..and the weapon droprate in FC was infamous for it's stinginess).

My advice..get your bracer and aug(if you even want those anymore), and kill whatever you want to while exping. The zone is pretty useless.

I always tried to do something instead of just grinding exp. Some quest for faction or a specific drop I was after(usually for alts). Just exping seemed like a waste(there's actually a lot of stuff to do in EQ..exping for the sake of exping, is not really an efficient way to go abou doing things).

I did(regularly) grind factions expansion to expansion, it was unavoidable. That's where most of my aa's came from.

However, I'm 11 levels behind the curve now, not max level and looking for content to enjoy. If I want to raid with my guild, I've got to get caught up.
