Velk at 75?

I'm level 75 with just over 800 AA's. I've never attempted Velk before until today, as part of the Giants, Giants, Giants. I, also, didn't know what to expect with him.

I got him to 73%, using all my available abilities (no vet aa's, no merc), and this was with a throw everything and the kitchen sink at him approach, which clearly didn't work.

Can this fight be done at level 75? Does anyone recommend particular strats to attempt it?

Use a healer Merc and fully equipped pet (get the best Mage Summoned stuff). If you have them, pop Chaotic Jester (I have this one) and Steadfast Servant (this one I don't...). I solo'd him at 81 with no problems, never dropped below 25-30% before I either Tapped him or Merc healed me.

If he's doing the giants giants giants mission I dont think he can use the merc.

It would be hard at 75 because you havn't gotten out good spike dps yet, I would suggest trying a fully decked out pet and just trying to heal the pet threw while you sqeeze in some dots.

Aaaah, you know what? You're right. I think I relied only on the Taps to stay alive...

I only completed this up to Velks. When I went for Tormax, I just couldn't get past him and his two guards reliably solo.

Yeah, 75 might be pretty hard.
