Can you feel that? I know i can. It's a very uncomfortable feeling. Oh! i know what it is! It's lvl 52! It's that level that taunts you with the need for a rogue pet and a 93% rez lol.

I'm havin alot of trouble at this level, i wanna get out ASAP and need to know how to do it. I tried: SD (scarlet desert) and hated it, HHK got nerfed and i heard exp got nerfed and isn't too great anymore, i tried solo in PoN, but too many adds. I tried grouping in PoI and PoJ but the groups are only preductive 1/40 times. The only thing i can think of is to go back to CS, but i've been there for a long time now and exp is kinda slow.

Please help...PLEASE!

level 52 here... tried HHK & will visit often for fast PP but xp is cumbersome i find.

many will argue with me here but KC is a cake walk for xp in the high 40's to mid 50's. with a lil help from a shammy i keep entrance, mid-CY & cappy clear with nps. if i had more time tonight i was gonna camp LCY for even better xp / faster pulls.

i get 1% xp every 1-2 kills ez & loot isn't bad at all... specially with gem / gear drops. this zone used to be entertaining from the ZI with all the trains but is so empty these days i get the place to myself most times last few days.

will be here for few more levels & then look for another stomping grounds.. hope it helps.

The second boat in dulak is your friend. 11 spawns on the boat and a scrubber spawn on the dock. it's not great per-mob xp, but you can kill fast and the respawn is about right on for a full clearing and 2-3 minutes to let mana catch up.

The captain drops a nice +4allstats +30 hp/mana/end ring and an 8/20 club...but the boats scrubber on the dock in one of the placeholders for Vurag, who drops a crappy 20 hp belt and the 21% haste neckpiece (Worn Gold Tooth I think?)

The mobs drop plat, level 49 spell research pieces, and an occational Star Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond, or Blue Diamond.

You can actually get to 55 here, though level 54 is real slow. But grind it out and you'll have a nice little bit of coin banked and you'll be 55, ready for second tier PoP zones like Valor $$. :)

Or, you can just try to get into PoNightmare kite groups. ;p

Dulak at Lady Dirulia ship is very good spot for you and you can stay there (if boredom doesn't kill you first) untill level 54-55 at most.
It's very very very safe to hunt there and you can fear kit once you clear the bow (front) or the rear of the ship.
I will try to make a map here, i'd edit the image from Atlas but i have nowhere to host that image, so here goes:

Ok, the S marks the safe spot, where you can summon your pet and buff up, invis or so on, it's right after the ramp you climb to get in the boat to your left.
The (M) is the mast of the boat.

The numbers are the static spawns on the ship. There are NO roamers so don't worry. Their aggro range is rather small and they will not assist as long as you stay out of their aggro range.

If you follow the number sequence you can fear kit with ease. The first pull (1) is the hardest one, you can aggro kit it around if you are carful. Use the stairs near (2) and the area near (3). Mob (7) will no aggro if you don't climb all the way up to the upper part. What i did to pull (1) was get as close as i could to (3) without getting in aggro range, cast insidious retrogression, stay close the boat walls and go up the stairs in the opposite direction of (2), once up there i cast VoS and went close to mob (2) but still up the stairs so it won't aggro, sit, send pet and wait till (1) is close to you, stand, keep on the stairs and go to the opposite direction of (2) and climb down (stay as far away from (2) as you can or it will aggro) and move close to (3). Keep doing this yo-yo with (1) till it's dead. Or you can just root rot (1) if you think this is too complicated.

After (1) is dead, pull (2) and yo-yo it around pretty much like (1) but no need to worry about where to stay on stairs since (1) is dead and you're kitting (2).

Follow the number sequence and once (3), (4) and (5) are dead you can fear kit the rest using the bow (front) of the ship, wait till mob follows you up there and just fear it (low level fear) it will start to go down to the deck but fear will end before it reaches the ramp, and it will come back to you. It's important to keep aggro on you, that's why i used IR and VoS.

Once bottom is clear, if you think you have mana (and you prolly will) you can start working on the upper part.
Pull number (7) first and yo-yo it around the bottom.
After you cleared upper part (if you kill fast that is), the bottom mobs will start to pop back again, you can kit them using the upper part of the ship now. Pull the mobs with IR, cast VoS and run to where (9) spawns, sit and sick pet, once you see the mob coming at you (it will obviously climb the stairs) you stand and cast fear on it, it will hit it right before it gets to you, it will slowly climb downstairs but it won't reach the ramp.

Keep doing this and you will have the boat cleared always with no downtime.
Number (5) is a PH for the captain. If he pops, don't worry, it will take a bit more mana from you to kill but nothing major and no major resists. Captain drops some nice loot as well.

Just have root or something like that up in case IR wears off in the middle of your fight, don't panic, just root it, pull pet back and IR it again.
I always had manaskin up and rarely got hit, but had it on as a precaution (better safe than sorry imho).

The only problem here is that, you will get bored to death.....However you can make some good money because they drop gems and sometimes clerics will buy the Deepwater Emblem for temperance quest and they drop in this ship.

You can also try the giant fort in Burning Woods. The spawn rate is fast enough to keep you always in killing mode, even if shared with dr00ds and wizzies.

You can try PoN at blood raven static spawn near the chasm, but my guess is that you will get a lot of resists and sometimes it can be nasty. Run3 or SoW is a must here imho.

I guess that's it,
I could write a BW guide but i have to get back to work now....

Hope that helps,
Sal

I stole this:

Hi there

This is inspired by a post in eqclasses.com, but modified.

This is decent loot, nice xp and fun.

Charm killing is very nice in ME. Suddenly ur pet hits hard (!), has +10 k hp and no longer only 2... Also, ur heart beats a little faster

Spell lineup suggestion:

- Drain spell, either OT or instantaneous
- FD
- Thrall of Bones
- Shackle of Spirit
- Root
- Augment(ation of) Death
- Lich/Demi/Arch Lich
- Dooming (if you have epic, you can load fast dot here). I use 29 level doom, its faster.
- One DOT (i use Envenomed Bolt, fast & ugly damage - 1020 hp in 45 secs)
- ST (Screaming Terror, not necessary, just root)

I used as pets Skeletal Drudges or Vampire Bats or Xi's. Avoid Vampires (Coterie). Reanimated Drudges are higher level but most are too high for Thrall, you might have to spend some time to find a lower level one. If this is your first attempt at charm killing, I would suggest you stick with Skeletal Drudges or Bats. Have SoW on you at all times (get some SoW potions).

Now go out in the open (there's a ridge on the right from DSP zone, its a safe spot), find a Skeletal Drudge/Vampire Bat, Thrall it and get it back to camp. Buff it and tell it to /guard here. If charm breaks, just run , ST/root and recharm. If a pet resists charm too often, or breaks it too often then kill it and get another one. Someone told me that high charisma helps duration of charm. Can anyone confirm this? Until its contradicted, I'll change weps so that I have 129 in char when charming, 79 when fighting.

As long as you have a charmed pet, you will want to chain pull (With haste, it can solo two of its kind, with only a little dot help from its master ). Run ahead, target a mob (bat/skeletal drudge), pull with Slow, run to pet. When you pass pet, tell it to attack. Slow mob and snare again if u plz (nice precaution when charm breaks and both mobs attack u). Then target your pet and go to a safe distance. Keep the mob rooted/snared at ALL times. If charm breaks, then just ST/root quick, recharm, re-send pet. Once you get the hang of it, you can get mobs even before your pet kills the current one and root-park them. A hasted skel can mow through bats and undead robed guys (Xi), not much HP loss, just remember to haste your pet and slow mobs. Once in a while you get a ravenous wolf add. Those have a buttload of HPs and hit hard, you cant slow them. Pet cant usually kill them. I was usually letting pet die, then just root dot the wolf. You need another pet after this. You can pull toilers too, they cant be slowed but they die fast from a hasted skel. Reanimated Drudges also are ok, you can slow them. I didnt bother with the Coterie (Vampires in Temple), but you can pull them too.
If ur pet is dying, FD (charm breaks), stand up and charm its adversary. It'll kill ur former pet quickly, and ull get ur xp anywayz (depending on how much damage it has taken in beforehand).

Downtime: If u are careful and dont get adds (line of sight of Skeletal Drudges is impressive), ur downtime will be close to zero: ur pet does all the work, and quickly. If not, u will train the hill besides DSP-zone alot, annoying fellow-adventurers (i did that ) and maximizing ur downtime.

Some tips:
- Have SoW at all times
- Keep your mob rooted / snared at all times
- Keep your charmed pet targeted as often as possible
- Dump pet if he resists charm or breaks it too often
- U can only uncharm ur pet if u FD.

If you're focused, then you should do fine. The only time when it can get hairy is when charm breaks as you bring a mob to your pet. If this happens, you can either zone them or, what I did, just run around, root the mob and ST/root-recharm pet. Just avoid being hit, especially by your pet since it's hasted.

enjoy

a few things, HHK is still very good even at 52 at 53 or 54 it slows down a lot. Half the nobles will be light blue to you and basically the two bards you kill with match any exp you get off nobles each time they spawn. I went out to dulack and its not much better, constant dark blue kills, but the money is WAY better. instead of maybe 1 k per level you can easily make 3, espically if you get a couple diffrent captin drops. Things to watch out for, dont run to close to the rail with the new graphic system. You get stuck at some spots and then its lights out necro, and start with the easy boat get a feel for your pet and how it works when fear kiting. THere is a good write up on here about dulack which i like. Not to mention you make a lot of friends with clerics if deepwater emblems drop and you give them the loc. :)

Indeed....I get a lot of free time at work, sometimes two-three days straight of doing nothing basically....

You know, it sucks! I am looking for a new job tho...

Anyway, getting back to the topic:

Giant fort is easier than Dulak but it won't give you that much money and you will definetely need some weight bags and will have to run to nearest vendor quite a lot to sell the stuff they drop. Usually they drop giants tunic or something like that that sells for 70pp or so, the named giant will drop a good tunic (it was very sought after in the old days, i belive its +25AC and +10STR, leather armor that sell for nearly 300pp) and he also drops some gems on ocasion.

If i had to do it again, i'd stick to Dulak....Xp/loot ratio is much better there, if you can get the boat camped for yourself.

The Treeweave!! I had one on my ranger for many levels. That thing used to be 7-10k. Ahhh.... nostalgia.
