Ok. I have looked through a lot of posts here. Quite a bit are older.
So i was wondering where other lvl 85's have gone, or still go to for cash? I am about broke. I know a lot of you would rather not tell everyone where the best spots are, but i think necro's look out for other necro's.
Any info on good farming spots for drops to sell to merchants, or just plain old cash drops itself would be great. Especially if i can get some aa there as well. :D
Thanks

Easy way to find out what sells on your server, especially things that are easy to pawn off, is to check the barterers in the bazaar. Find out what a lot of people are looking for, that sells relatively well, that is also something you can farm.
Also take a look at the general bazaar prices for gear. Things that you can farm and put up on a trader if you do not mind waiting for a while.
TBS zones, SoF zones, EPs in PoP all have good gem and vendor trash drops that will allow you to make a quick stack to pay for mercs, spells, augs and what-have-you.
*EDIT*
Well addition really.
You can also become a subscriber and get a lot more of the juicy details.

For making hard cash it's hard to beat slaughtering weak-con mobs since they drop vendor sellables far, far, far more often than normal mobs. And you can shred them without need of a merc.
Tier2 items seem to sell okay since it's the best you can buy.
You can always try to sell taskadds, loot rights to essences, augs & items - though some people take offense at it. Some of the "harder" ones like Safe Passage might be popular, especially if your price was reasonable.
Me, I have been limping along doing Tradeskills; making melee tomes with my war, potions with my shaman & poisons with my rogue. It's been a while since I sold anything of real value, and my warchest has been in decline for a while as my merc costs for both accounts are 15-20k per week. I know underfoot will reintroduce cultural armors again, so I'm hoping I can get in on the front end and make enough to last a while.

Hot Zone task is 1800 plat, no? doesn't take long (kill 5 mobs), and can sell the drops and the defiant gear reward too for a bit extra.
MMs takes a bit longer but is 2k+ plat each (have to have 3 toons though, but if they are all your toons that is 2k+ each)
Neither of those requires a merc to be draining your plat while trying to make plat.
Can go to old school zones like Seb or Lower Guk and grab a big train of mobs and then pop out the DoT aura again no merc required, they have plat and gems and jewelry that is good vendor trash. The only problem, is running out of mobs, as the respawn is slow realative to how fast you can kill them all.

Your an 85 and broke, please tell me your spending on alt gear because I can't even imagine what you might be spending it on because as an 85 you should have cash just by the junk you loot. Hell I have cash and cant find anything to buy? Let me know I love spending money.

Many of the regular quick and easy ways to make pp for necros without high play/research time dried up in SoF/SoD (mostly SoD). I know I used to make loads selling spells and loams/fluids/marrows during SoF but when SoD hit, the market for all of that died. Also, with the newer systems of gear it is very easy to get gear that is much better than what is /bazable, so many people have wizened up and stopped dropping plat for gear. Add all of that to the addition of mercs and paying for the recurring costs of slot 3s, chest augs, and a merc and it can be a real nightmare for quite a few people.
Me, I squandered a lot of my pp being generous with people and with the npcs in shadowhaven...

I recently went hunting for 3 augs that drop in Katta off Mudpuppy, Spirit Flame of the Drowned and Brine of Prexus. Meanwhile, killing all the trash mobs to spawn named pops I easily walked out with 10k in vendor loot per session and I wasn't even trying for the loot.
At 85 you'll burn through the mobs (they con weak). They repop relatively fast, nice stackable loot (25 - 50pp an item) and there heaps of mobs, It's a farming zone and hardly anyone does those mobs.
The area around Mudpuppy has a gallon of mobs on a platform and being social they self pull :D
You might even pick up an aug or two and if not for yourself an alt maybe.

If you insist on always having all type 3 damage augs, and are changing/upgrading gear frequently, the cost of those + the cost of aug removers adds up VERY quickly...

And you can also be like me and spend 35k on a Darkwood Trunk cause you're too lazy to camp one yourself... That never helps the bank account :D

Yes. I do spend some cash and most of it on alts for gear, spells, discs and all that. Plus the upkeep for merc when i actually group, or solo nameds. Plus the switching of augs, and my own spells as i improve faction in the dif zones.
*got my own darkwood trunk free when i did my epic 1.0*
I will have to check some of these spots out sometime. If anymore good ideas let me know =)

Why would you spend 35k on a 100% weight reduction bag? I never even get close to being to heavy and I have those bulky tool boxes??
Things like:
http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=105843 , for example.
35k is a little overkill when you can get Bag of the Tinkerers for a fraction of that...but some people do like to have interesting items. Darkwood Trunk would fall under that category to me at least, my cleric has one from a long time ago still.

I used to have about 1,000,000 plat, but when I started getting cores and essences during SoF for raid gear, that ate up lots of plat and I just don't have the time to go out and farm tradable stuff anymore. The bulk of my time in game is spent raiding, with a very occasional lesson burn. But yeah, upgrading items with slot 3 augs in them can get pretty expensive pretty fast. I hover around the 100k plat mark now. :\

All of the various plat sinks are becomming effective actually, but mostly its targeting the raiders that don't have time to farm yet get gear upgrades and need to transfer augs. There's plenty of money out there to be made but a lot of it is situational.
There are some decent threads in the members section about making money.
The trick is to know what sells on your server and find the easiest way to obtain it.

The Hole. I normally drop in, start at top ramp, and just run down 'til I get to the lower keep portion of it. Have backstabber up, and my merc. Hit AOE or, if you dont' have it, just dot them up. Then I do keep. Wait, that is what I used to do in defiant armor. These days, I just pull every mob until I get to quest mobs in the very back. THen I hit AOE.....which......
Hits the gargoyle on top of the keep. And he sucks you to the top of the keep. Quite interesting when it happens the first time. Sometimes I just skip the AOE. Normal loot pull is about 3-5 K an hour in sellables and gems. Mostly gems. I like gems. Nice and easy.
Once you get it down, and if you got the gear and AA's (if I remember right) you'll get 3 (or almost 3) complete clears per hour. I think spawn rate is 17 or 20 minutes. It's been a while..because... it's mind numbingly boring. I did it the other day for old times sake (and since the cliknars are gone) and I quit after one pull. It just gets old.
Don't forget to bring a pearl with you and cast your self DS...I'd cast the lifetap proc spell - forgot the name, ha- and just pound things, while pet is backstabbing. Don't even have to nuke that much. Kind of reminds me of doing nobles in highkeep for their (5p!) steel swords, or the old write up about the guards in Felwithe (20p swords!) Those were the days, eh?
As for sellables...
Camp this Obliteration mace. I sold one for 100K... in about an hour, once the guy scrounged up enough money. It has a better ratio than beastlord 2.0 . Of course, it took me 12 hours to get one. Your mileage may vary.

Or this. Light of the Forest.

There are many, many items in Old Commonlands that I've sold over the last year, here's one. Ythara's blade of rituals.
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=80703
Ythara spawns insde a building and the mobs outside don't agro and she's pretty cake. Most camps there are pretty cake.
Comander K'Thak is not cake if most of his camp is alive. He can beat you into cake batter, pretty quick.

Reaver's pyre sells for 50K on the Nameless. War march of Meldrath drops from crows in same zone, it sells pretty good - 5K. Hills of Shade spells are surprisingly popular on my server. I've been there 12 hours and seen like, 10 people... the whole day, so i don't have a lot of competition in the sales market. I sell most spells for 2 - 5 k, depending on rarity. Reaver's pyre is worth 50K. God, I hated camping it for myself, but I love selling it. Another thing I do when I make the run there is check vendors for aderise burr and Urticulae-whateverit's called. It sells to you for 1 silver and you sell to people for 10-15p. It's free cash. Also I check all vendors ..the gnomebots in DSH, the Fangbeakers in LP and the gnome ladies in HoS for spells.
Heres the big tip. Don't buy the spells to sell in baz, unless you're sure they are gold. (Like Reaver's pyre...and good luck finding that one.) . LINK the spells in a /general selliing XXX spell for (spell cost @ vendor + 1000). I've made 2 -3 k in minutes, doing that. Quick bind, click necklace to PoK, make transaction, every one is happy.
