I know personally I have talked much crap about the "Duck Skull Stick" but I've been wondering, is there really any other utility reason to have this thing? I've been debating the usefulness but I'm just not sure if all that work is worth it when there's Elemental planes and whatnot..

Also, on a sidenote, my friend keeps telling me that in order to get into Time, it's not so much going thru and getting flags, but there are 4 shields or sigils or something, that you need to get into Time. Those 4 are attainable in the elemental planes and that's all you need to get your Time key. Is this true too? I mean, I'd like to believe him but it just sounds too easy.. heh..

Stats aren't bad: not up to uber PoP standards, but I wouldn't turn it down; OTOH if you have access to better gear there's no good reason I can see to try to get it other than purely for the sake of doing so. I haven't been actively trying to get my epic other than doing the simple stuff prior to the Herbalist in Chardok (who I don't want to kill because I'll trash my faction), but I've collected a lot of the drops just from helping on other people's epic raids.

I believe the notion that epics are trash is kinda bs. If you want it get it. Its up to you not everyone elses opinion on whether or not you should get it.. I like the cool look of it if anything.. and it is a one hander.. when or IF u hit a guild that is doing elementals +... yeah, u may or may not use it anymore due to getting a significant upgrade, but who's to say yay or nay on if u should get it or not?

Well I'm not saying the epic isn't good, it *is* good, but somehow I just don't know about the sparkly thing.. I just don't feel a necromancer should have anything that's "sparkly".. heh..

Yup its true, thats all you need to do is collect each of the for pieces to the key!!!


O yah sorry forgot to tell you each piece can be attained only by killing each god in each elemental plane(fennin, Xegony, Cornaiv, and Avatar of earth).
And for each elemental plane you need to be flagged for all prior planes. So yah i guess it is that easy... :rolleyes:

Ok so I lied a little....You dont have to have ALL prior flags but you have to have damn near all of them. (I think you can technically be flagged for earth, water, and air without being flagged for fire(killing sol ro)) correct me if im wrong not positive. :(

You don't have to be flagged for jack, you can get into any zone in pop except earth b, and bertoxulous's lair with the 85% rule. It's very true your raid will have to be flagged for the majority of the zones...but 5-10 people can squeak through.

You'll miss alot of very good content if you just get time keyed and never elemental access via killing tons of mobs in raids, but ya your friends right.

Just about every server has 2-3 sometimes as many as 5 time enabled guilds. I don't think it's completely unlikely that he could recruit for one, and just go get the 4 drops he needs and raid with them. Most elemental guild assist time guilds in backflagging(either as a friendly gesture, or to keep the time guild from killing their raid content...solely for flags). For the first guild or 2 per server to get to time...like 8-10months ago, ya you'd be correct..but now there's 100's of people per server, and tons of alts/bots time keyed, I don't think /raiding into poe or pofire would be that difficult(for a recruit of a time guild)

Thanks for the info Jeb. As it turns out, I am trying to get to 65 asap so I can get into the guild that my rl friend is in <Risen from the Ashes>, and he has an insta-invite for me waiting as soon as I do. Presently they're getting into (or rather, are in) elemental planes and are working toward Time. So I figure by the time I get 65, they'll be pretty close. Yeah I know I'll be missing content and I DO wanna go back and see that stuff, but for gear reasons, I'd like to be able to get into Time without having to do the whole planar progression quest.

Yah jeb but you missed my meaning when you quoted me hehe. Your thinking how easy it is now and I agree with you but I was talking about how hard It was when the first people had to do it all together and how much slower that must have been :(

Presently they're getting into (or rather, are in) elemental planes and are working toward Time.

If they're new to EPs your looking at about 6-8month of gearing/raiding until time on average. Sometimes it's less sometimes it's more, but it's not a quick thing.

Alrighty, thanks for the timeline Jeb. From what my friend tells me, they keep running into little problems here and there. So it might take some time for them. But hell, by the time they get there, I might actually be 65 by then and have decent AAs.. :lol:

I am in a family guild. And we are not flagged for anything.

But a couple of us got together with other friends on the server, and have decided to get time flagegd. We started about a month ago with no flags. We fought Bertoxx last night, with 100% flagged to that point. Still need to finsih the Zeks...

We will continue to strive for the elements and then time... :)

That sounds reall neat Draz. I know some servers do alot of open raids on PoP mobs and stuff like that for people who arnt in raiding guilds and stuff its a cool concept. Wish tarew was like that <_< .
