Venril Sathir faction

If you are like me and f**ked up your VS faction( a long time ago in HS, prolly ), there is an easy cure...kill a few dragons in Veeshan's Peak. For the longest time, I was at the mercy of this faction, but no more. Went into VP with a spell called Withering Decay rk2 and raked in the faction. I know, I know, its an 83 spell, but with some patience, I know it can be done WAAAAAAAY before 83 Hope this helps someone. =-)

Unlike the title may suggest I do know of Venril Sathir...but what I don't seem to have any recollection of is actually needing positive faction with him...Maybe I'm missing some quests or something that deal with VS faction...anyway some info on what the faction would be useful for would be great...thank you :)

OT hammer (though as a necro once just charm the skelly for amiable faction to allow turn in), use bank/vendors in OT, not sure what else. The OT hammer is nice for those without Gate though. /duel a group member to port out to a place near a PoK stone.

faction was useful for dark elves needing spells, long ago, other than that its good for the OT hammer and yep do it in VP, that's what I did for my monk, obviously not with a spell

I just recently learned about an alternate, probably easier, method to get the OT hammer for ANY class.

Go get a lvl 5 shroud as a Wizard Imp (or possibly gargoyle, but I think it's imp). Head over to the field of bone and kill everything in sight. I usually go to the big pit area, but others say just to kill the low blues. Ideally you'll wanna get a tank merc (upkeep is free at lvl 5), temperance, distillate of skinspikes (and other DS's if possible), and a regen too if you can. Much easier with a pocket druid. You will have to do at least one damage to each mob to get credit/exp for the kill if you're killing via the DS. I usually melee them til I, or my merc, hits them once. It takes roughly 45 mins to an hour (probably can be done faster) to level up the shroud.

This unlocks an evil eye enchanter shroud which has a charm skill. Bring a friend if needed and have them tash/malo the undead foreman, then cast your charm skill and quickly turn in your jade - *Profit*

I find this easier and less annoying than farming an endless supply of sarnak berserkers. Plus you can be max KoS and still do it this way too.

For those classes unable to charm undead, buy/borrow/loot Puppet Strings and charm the quest giver. Far less time involved than PLing shrouds to unlock the charm ability.

Further derail again on my part...this method is detailed on alla as well, and be prepared for resists using this approach.
