I'm currently a lvl 4 Iksar Necromancer. My question is what spells are worth buying at my current level and beyond. I'm not twinked at all and all my money is from turning the curscale stuff in town. Thanks for your time.

For your level 4 spells I would recommend:

Poison Bolt: Decreases HP by 6 hp when cast, 5 dmg per tick (7 ticks)
Fear: Makes target run
Clinging Darkness: Slow/Damage over Time
Lifespike: Lifetap for 11hp (max at lvl 8)
Leering Corpse: Pet
Gate: Teleports you to bind point, very useful if in a fight you cannot win

No particular order, but try to get the pet, darkness and fear since those three are your main ways of easy soloing. Hope that helps.

Thanks. Should I upgrade every spell at every "checkpoint" (4,8,12,etc) if I have the money or should i try to space it? I'm going to try to upgrade pet every point though of course.

yes eventually you will get all your spells when you can afford to buy them, but at first just buy the most important...fears, dots, lifetaps, pets etc.

PET always get the PET.!!

Fear is critical as that is your only FEAR till like 39.

Darkness is good for kiting. If you are grouping then is may not be as valueable.

Eventually you will get the Ward Undead type spells these are a "get whatever you can cast".

What server you on? If Rathe I will give you teh plat for spells through 12. hate not having basic spells.

May I. Learn to Tailor. You can make your armor from Spider Silks and it is decent stuff till you can start getting drops and buy things. Silk Armor is easy to make, sells for decent cash and is the best you can get wihtout having to shell out REAL cash. Just kill every spiders and combines silks to make swatches and trheads till you cannot see straight.

Pet Pet Pet, always get pet no matter how expensive it is.

Sheilding line will save your butt alot with extra HP's and snare, fear, gate and root will save you're butt too.

Always get the Lich most effective mana regen in the game, especially when used with the Leech line. You should never be taking med breaks, if you are then you're doing something wrong. Try different combos of Dot's and snare/fear/ pet tactics. Don't just limit yourself to one kind of soloing. Try out different zones and methods.

We get soooo many dot lines which to choose if you're short on plat? I prefer the poison dot's, they're generally faster working for the same mana as the slow fire and disease ones that don't always live out their expectations. Wasted mana is my pet peeve...

Don't make the mistake that I made. Get evocation up fast and often, you're fun high level nukes are in evocation. I hit level 50 and had an evocation skill of 70. It sucked getting it up to 200, very frustrating!

What spells would I use to raise my evo skill?

Also I'm currently located on the Stromm Server.

I think there are only a few spells that bring up Evocation. The only one closest to your level is Ward Undead, a level 8 spell (works on Undead only...). I believe that the Undead DD's are the only Evo. spells, then you start to get more (Incinerate Bones 49, Ignite Bones 49, etc.) There are Evo. spells at lower levels beginning at 20 as well, but those are AE spells.

OK. Evocation. Take your LOWEST Undead Spell and cast it ON YOUR PET... He will not be hurt, but you still get the skill ups. Do this at each ding to get your 5 points, unless you like to hunt skells a lot. If you let Evocation get too low from lack of use you will be sucking air when you hit high 40's and have Incinerate Bones ( a good DD for us) as it is Evoc and you'll die with fizzles.

So, go blow a mana bar beating up on your pet. If you can get a decent regen cast on you while doing this you can mana swap as well and keep things going good. You can also cast "true North" to get you divination skill up at teh same time. YES IT IS BORING. I sugeest doing this where you can be fishing at the same time. You got sacting and fishing going you will be reasonably busy hitting buttons. If done wisely you can be standing next to an NPC and hitting BEG in the mix. Just don't cast on teh NPC by accident.
