Quest : Abandon all Hope

Myself and a few guildmates did this one yesterday; as a group it took a while because of the last step, but solo I did it in less than 10 min this morning (thx Harmshield). 6 hour lockout (of course) but it's a fast quest and some easy exp for Underfoot. Mobs killed : 0

It starts with Mardin Howlinblade in Arthicrex. He's tough to get to but you can flop to him. I used whisperwind to clear the see invis lines of mobs. He gives a quest that starts by having you explore the aphid spawning grounds.

If you look on the Arthicrex map you will see three circular areas to the north, north west and far west of where Mardin is located. The middle one is the Aphid spawning ground. You just need to poke your head down the entry way for an update. Some guards see invis.

Next step is the Sporali area, the circular spot on the map directly north of Mardin (and it has a red name on the map as well - forget that name atm). Poke your head into the depression / cave and get an update.

Next update is about 50 feet away when you hail (can do this invis) a named Shroom in a cage (the red name on the map).

The last bit is the tough part. You will be told to find lost members of a dorf patrol. Of course they were lost in the caves directly north of where you are at the named shroom. Caves filled with see invis blue/white con mobs. Stoopid dorfs.

As you approach the caves there are no see invis mobs (that I have seen) but as soon as you enter there are plenty. They are blue / white cons and hit for 6200 so a normal death run isn't really going to be feasable. I poped Harmshield and ran in. There are three slopes up that you have to take to get to the dwarf hanging in a cage. The update came as I got near him. Then I hopped back down the side of the slopes (easy to see when you actually get there) and ran like hell. Harmshield faded just as I came out of the caves with hell chasing me. I hit Whisperwind to get some distance and flopped till aggro was gone.

All that's left at that point is to hail Mardin again.

Total time this morning : about 10 minutes or less (took longer to write this post). 1.4AA and some plat.

Getting to Mardin isn't too hard. I zone in from Underquarry and go straight to the ravine, then turn north and through the small cave path then you get to dodge blue/white/yellow con mobs to get to the quest giver. I wouldn't recommend it on a non FD class.

So there ya go, Easy AA and repeatabe. And it's part of a quest arc apparently. Next quest in line is to hail a few folks and kill some mobs in diff zones.

Good info!

I just did this myself. I would just like to add a couple of tips (and another quest in zone!). I found that, while there is a TON of SI in this zone, it's actually not too hard to get around without having to FD/whisperwind. So far, I have gotten around by just being careful with having reg invis. The Hive step of this quest most definitely does require HS, or making someone train up all of the SI scouts or something.

Of note: The dwarf in the hive is not all the way at the top of the ramps! I don't know about anyone else, but I DL'd rasper's maps and he has the update spot up past all of the ramps. I blew right past the dwarf in the cage on the ramps and would have been semi-stuck at the top for a long time if it had not been for Utan in the SW and stalking probes. Anyway, the dwarf for the update is actually around halfway up all of the ramps. You will just need to pause for a moment by his cage to get the update.

The really easy quest that will take you ~60 seconds to complete if you run/levant quickly, and/or have one prelooted already: Of Like Minds (http://home.comcast.net/~mathadon/Guides/Underfoot/Art_T_11.html). This actually appears to be repeatable with the usual 6 hr lockout.

Edit: Before I forget, I nearly died in the ravine near ZL b/c I thought I only saw oozes down there. Turns out there are a few SI clicknar mixed in with the oozes. Just enter the ravine a bit farther north imo and you should be ok.

Another fast easy quest to do for some nice AA is " Fate of the Telmira " I recieved 4 AAs from this quest, raspers shows 2 (idk why).

Repeatable ? Not sure just yet until I get home and check it out, but in any sense it was a simple one to do.

-Explore the northwest for Autoros - Fungal Forest
-Hail Autoros - Fungal Forest

-Explore the southwest for Eulyris - Fungal Forest
-Hail Eulyris - Fungal Forest

-Explore the south-central for Vaelani - Fungal Forest
-Hail Excrug Shrivstem - Fungal Forest

-Explore the north-central for Lisaryn - Fungal Forest
-Hail Deagus the Fungrotect - Fungal Forest

-Deliver Lisaryn's Remains to Adeenas - Fungal Forest
-Hail Adeena - Fungal Forest

Another easy repeatable quest if you are flagged for Volska's Husk is Into the Fire (http://home.comcast.net/~mathadon/Guides/Underfoot/VH_T_1.html). I usually do this right before starting a solo session there.

Did this task today, and the reward was a little over 2aa's. It isn't repeatable since the trigger phrase doesn't give a lockout message or any response.

Yea after going back through Fungal and trying to re-get the quest she was silent. Maybe if you complete that quest arc you may be able to repeat it? I'm not 100% sure.

If this was repeatable, it isn't anymore. Also, the one that I posted in arth: "of like minds" seems to no longer be repeatable. It looks like soe ninja made the super easy quests non repeatable lol.
