This is mostly copy/paste from the vet lounge, which is god-awful to search when you need some info.

On the March 2010 patch, many UF named PH locations were changed i.e. consolidated to make spawning a named mob easier. However, this resulted in many named/ph markers on maps obsolete overnight.

Ok, since you have requested it, I will post the list of which named spawns were moved in the patch. In nearly all cases these moves were beneficial. In Arthicrex though, one farm had a disporportionate number of rare spawns so some of them were moved to other locations in the zone.

While I understand this made the east farm location highly desireable, it also left much of the zone unused. Part of moving the rares around was also to have a better spread of locations around the zone. Unfortunately I won't be providing locations of where the named were moved to but I have faith you will find them quickly enough. With the reduction of see invis mobs in the hive and underquarry and the reduction of population in some areas, many of the named should be more accessable.

Here's the list:

So for starters, if you haven't downloaded maps or updated your own with named/ph locations since March 10...your maps are most likely wrong. Raspers UF maps has been updated as of March 17:

Using the above information I edited my maps. Any markers for moved mobs are now displayed in purple while unmoved are still maroon. I also added some information from PM's to them. I don't have a map for convorteum yet, so it is not included.

Anyways, I put this topic here so I could personally refer to it with a quickness instead of taking 20 minutes searching the vet lounge. Maybe some of you will find a use for it here, too.

I just spent an insane amount of time in Shining City over the past week, have just over 29hrs logged there and have some tips/advice.

A Wary Guard - the original map marker is still valid. Killed her 8 times, got 1 axe, 7 rings and 3x head clays. Killed other kobald mobs in the same building & nearby a total of 30 times without popping named. Her 25kish AE is directional.

Tani the Fire Alchemist...yes its not on the list of moved NPCs. However, the map marker from raspers is slightly too far north and around 4 levels too high to be accurate. Alla's writeup of multiple phs are wrong. Of the 4 roamers that path through the hallway, only 1 seems to be his PH from the standpoint of killing them all over 80 times. The singular ph spawns in the bottom of the building at the door, and roams up to the hallway, then back. The other 3 roamers path a freaking huge area, going up the centre spire and walking through 2 other buildings...these 3 never spawned Tani. We killed Tani 6 times, he never dropped a clay for us; it was 1 aug and 5 rings. His AE is directional but appears to have some PBAE as well that hits whole group for 20kish.

Resonating Crystalkin...full of badassery. Has 3 slightly roaming phs on the base of the centre spire. All phs are a crystal'ish mob; the red crab things or the floating crystaline orb or the stumpy tirodant type mobs. He has a 200 range AE that makes you drunk and inhibits melee attacks by 75% in addition to popping you up & back...and a different 25kish directional AE. Mercs seem to get funky prob from his drunk ae. Killed this guy the most, got 1 chest, 2 legg and 4 arm clays; 4 shields and 9 shoulders.

Overall the spawn rate for named is abysmal. Got other named but nothing to write about because they were so rare our data proves nothing. We had a rotation going from Wary Guard to Abraided Genari to Resonating Crystalkin to Overgrown Burynai to Tani - and since only named are KOS we were ahead on the 17-minute spawn timer except for after a named kill. We estimate we killed every ph on our rotation 70+ times total. Amazingly low named rate. Really nice zone though, and non-kos makes it easy to farm & move around.

Going to hit other t8 zones this week now that my warrior got a lot of upgrades. Planning to gear up 5 chars before moving on to the missions and t9.
