questions on where to hunt

I am curious where to hunt at lev 54. I do mostly LDON currently. My friend is 54 war & 54 cleric. Could we trio old seb now? The problem with LDON is we aren't making any money. We currently trio normal risk LDONs, fun, very fun, just wish we made some plat. One problem I foresee with old seb is the nukes. Could try to raise resist but anyone know at what # resists work more? I have 140ish magic resist and it really doesn't do anything. So if we need a CR of 200 to actually work against ice comet effectively, we can do that. If no amount of CR will help, well, ok. Any suggestions on the grouping or soloing is appreciated. I like one suggestion of felwithe guards, but have not seen it discussed other than in passing. So I am unsure of which guards where. Thanks, I've seen many educational topics so far and look forward to good repsonses here.

Well just kill all the felweithe guards lol. None really in particular just zone in and have a blast. Recommend having ST or something up cause they are st00pid and like to heal one another and have LoH :-/. I think you guys could do seb very easily and hold down alot of the named camps with no sweat. Although a chanter would be nice cause adds in seb are the suck. Solo I dont know where to tell you to go. I hear alot of people talkin bout PoN but never tryed that, Katta isnt to bad if its your style. Dunno really what else I can offer yah <_<

Aye Sebilis is your best bet if you want cash. A couple other zones you could do would be Velks, the Hole and the Kael arena area with your trio.

you guys could easily camp one or two of the boats in dulak... decent xp and loot... do a search here for "dulak"... there are quite a few well-written guides

54 be a good time to charm skeles in ME, near coterie camp, theres undead wandering everywhere there. u get the resist debuff at 52 i think, so cast that on a skele, then charm.. or u can aggrokite with yer own pet, and basically kill over n over. I use charm coz it seems to kill em way faster there as the pets usually hit for ovre 100 hps.

Why not try tenebrous mountain coterie castle? I did that alot at 60 just cuz it was good cash. On a typical night (if you can kill the named, which aren't that hard) you could probably get 1k each in just cash, and another 3-4 drops ranging from 500 -6 or 7k (on bertox). It's not bad exp mid 50s either.

Another option might be grimlings in the caves in tenebrous, if acrylia still sells. The 2nd or 3rd boat in dulak would be good too.

dulak xp is really slow after u hit 50's, however I had a friend xp there till 60 lol. Only boat that might give u good xp is ocean crasher, and wouldnt even bother goin to windscorn as the time/effort is not worth what xp u get out of it. My friend who lvl'd there till 60 basically did these boats in order since lvl 40 I sorta made fun of him coz he seemingly lived there for like ever.
Stormwave (40-42) < Lady D (42-45)< Dando (45-48) < Oceancrasher (49-53+)< Windscorn(55ish +).. there is a camp deep in the cave where the soulstripper drops.. mobs conned db to mid-high 60's.

I need someplace close to portal stones to solo while I'm waiting for LDoNs. Is Lower Guk undead side still good solo experience by the mid to late 50s, or would Fel guards be better plat and experience?

By the mid 50s I had to go deep into Guk to find any dark blues, so the XP wasn't very good. Also, AFAIR the Felwithe guards were going light blue at 52 and XP was never great there due to the time and mana required to kill them... the main benefit was making decent cash while getting slow XP.

PoM is easy to get to... GD stone, a few steps then levant to spot right next to zone in... at 55 it is a challenge with resists, but once darkness sticks you're all set (FD immediately on resist, they'll take you down quick)... i still xp from time to time at 61 between groups and stuff (2-3% aa per kill)

I thought the entrance to PoM(plane of Mischief) was in ToV.
Is there another way of entering in, or am I totally confused?

They moved PoM some time last year. The zone in is now the little castle in GD.

I would highly recommend Dulak as a SOLO zone to hunt for necros. Been soloing there scince 44 and come 49 you can easly if its free cmp Stormwave gets easier with the 53 rogue pet, just fear em off the boat with 2 dots and the pet chews em up fast, just clear the 2 gnomes first then work your way from the mast mob then the 2 at the far side then the 2 at the front then the 3 at the top. Easy xp 6pp per kill and gems with some luck you will get the captain pop abit harder but snared and with fear and 2-3 good dots hes toast drops some nice items and a charm if you are lucky. On avergae 400pp but on a good gem day 1k easy. Also add the items off the captain which resale in bazaar for 500+pp you are golden well thats if you like/do trading. Another good cmp there is the oceancrasher dock mobs, again same tactic. Set up cmp by the wall and pull with darkness lead bck to the far right and sick the 53 rogue pet on em hit fear then drop in EB and one more dot if you need to. Again rogue will chew em up faster than the 49 period just make sure that they die before they wander too far or the patroling mobs sometimes add. Again quick fast kills and if you have enough mana the small hut behinde you is doable again darkness pull em bck to the far right of the wall sick pet etc these also drop some nice items which sell in bazaar for 300-1.5k. Hope this helps and remeber necros can out solo anyone :D well almost know a 65 chanter who is god.

P.S. Stormwave is good xp till 55 all darkblue til then :D
