Not sure if a topic has already been posted on this but I just did two LDoN's with 5 other necros from my guild and had so much fun I felt like sharing:)
All 6 of us are 65 and are around 70 aa's. The dungeon we did was everfrost (helping the only necro in the guild who doesn't have Horror so he can stop bringing shame to us:). As a general rule of thumb we all had these spells memmed at all times:
-Neurotoxin
-Touch of Mujaki
-Tough of Death
-Force Shield
-Death Peace
The other 3 slots were dictated by what our role was in the group. We had 2 necros assigned to cc. They had Shackle of Spirits, Death's Silence and Pertrfying Earth (lasts longer the GI) memmed. Another necro was assigned to be group tapper and kept Zeevfer's and Mind Wrack memmed. A fourth was the puller and had ED (doh) up. The other two of us were pure dps.
Every necro had the 65 pet up.
The puller would either root or monk pull depending upon the mob set up. Once mob was brought back to camp we would sic all pets on it and slow if it was possible. Once a pet had established agro we would chain heal it with ToD in between nuking. Dots were sparingly used. I kept Horror up regularly but it's best to stick with ToM and Neuro for this set up. Kill mobs asap to avoid wasting mana on healing your pets. In the event of adds, the cc necros would keep them rooted or mezzed away from the rest of the group.
By and large the results were outstanding. We only had 3 deaths in both and these were primarily due to screwing around on our part. Dps was outstanding and mobs were dropping like flies. Both adv's were finished in under 40 minutes.
Buffs aren't really needed for anyone outside of the puller and maybe cc. Ideally though none of you should be getting hit very often. We did the first one in almost full raid buff and the 2nd with almost no buffs at all. I can't really say as it was any harder.
If you have the necro buddies to fill out a group I highly recommend you try it. It's a very fun and rewarding experience and really highlights the versality of our class. Many in our guild expected it to be a massive failure and were suprised by the quickness and ease we pulled it off. As soon as we get better gear, we're doing a hard:)
