My Sad Sad Story.....

Well. Last night I was cleaning up my account a little. Every slot was filed with alts I never played and all had very nice gear. Anyway I had a wizard that had all my necros gear on it. (i was testing out my wiz so I gave him my necro's robe/ect.) The wiz also had some of my clerics stuff (the cleric is my main and one of my first charaters) So I decided to log onto my cleric and give him his stuff. I accidently left the bags inside the bank window and not the shared bank window. I deleted the wiz and my computer lagged so I clicked delete again. It caught up and I had made te biggest mistake in my EQ life. i deleted my cleric. He had over 10k of gear on him and then my necros gear which is about 50k worth. I have nothing now. I petitioned and asked GMs but they can't do anything. Maybe this is a sign I need to quit EQ. I don't know but I am going to a differant sever now and starting a brand new iskar necormancer.

heres the deal, i had like 30k worth of full twink gear stolen from my account like a while back and im talkin to gms about it, but i already bought my necro all new gear, so when my gear DOES come back from GM's will have a full set of twink gear for yeh....and i may make a new char to 2box and play with you ;p


i can also give you 1kpp to buy weighty polearms in the bazaar....cuz they make even the level 1 pet hit for like 58 dmg per hit its really cool.....and i have a friend thats a time flagged mage that can summon full sets of phantom plate+ the 500hp girdle, pet toys galore, etc. ill help ya out

Thanks a lot man, I think I will make a necro on that sever. You don't have to give me the armor and stuff though (i will accept it though ;) ) Yeah I am not giving up on gms getting my stuff back, but it is not likely. Thank you all and my new sever is now....

You can easily get your gear back. Just petition for a GM to restore your toons. You need to have the date that you deleted them and hopefully you haven't used the names again.

Thanks a lot all of you guys. I made a charater on Sol Ro. So far I like it a lot. Everyone on the sever seems... hostile. Lol on my old one everyone seemed to have an "i don't care" attitude. Everyone here seems to be more serious and straight forword. I dunno though. Any way my necro's name is Grotesque. So far all is going well. Lvling is going slow but I am loving it.

yea...people on sol ro in time say the same thing jeb lol...its cuz none of your stuff is droppable anyways and you probably sold/destroyed your old gear...at least when you can no longer upgrade with droppables, its alot easier to save up for regeants, coffins and EE's heh

Just an FYI, you can get your character restored, even if you created a new one with the same name... however, I don't think normal GMs can do it. The only people I know who have gotten it successfully fixed had to go through calling customer service/emailing about the problem.

Yeah, I have. I have not called customer service though. So far I have had no replies after 3 petitions. Even if I did get my cleric and necro back I think I would still stay on Sol Ro. It really is an awesome server and a low population. I have also been playing my necro a lot differant and everything seems to be a lot easier. Also, well lets just say my necro and cleric have a bad name (not as in name name as in everyone hates me =)

Well, long ago when LDoN adventuers were in style and noobs were plentiful I had a cleric and a necro. Now I am still a young one so that means I have to go over to my father's house a lot on certain days (yes, my parents are divorced) so I will come home from school and try to squeze in an adventure (in about 2 hours) You figure 30 min of lfg, then 30 min of waiting to get a full group. By that time I have 1 hour to finish. Yeah. Think about it like this.

1 hour + cleric + stuipd group with no chanter + med = not finishing adventure

on a larger scale

cleric as main healer + leaving adventure with "excuse" = bad name

on an even LARGER scale

cleric + bad reputaion for LDing = no group

See what I mean? Same goes for necro and also I did some uh bad stuff with my necro. One time this lvl 58 bard was walking by and decided to "help" me kill my mob. He of course killed it in about 2 hits therefore I got no exp. So I cussed him out. I really though he was going to tell a gm about that one. =)

I am not a "bad" cleric or "bad" person. I just hate stuipd people, and i'm really bad at staying on track. Below if you want, are some of my excuses for leaving a LDoN adventure. Use if you want.

1. This is the only time that I really had a purpose for leaving one.

Ok that one was real. In the end my friend was high and didn't know what she was saying, but my group with ok with it. If you want to use it as an excuse, use caution.

I only did that once, but that was because my group was a buncha fuck heads. Yep... fuckheads....The wizard wan't to attack the target to "build" his 1hb skill. Dumb ass.

I had my nightmare also! 53 necro deleted to create a treehugger just to be able to play with my real life friend who also had a 53 necro and rerolled into a ranger... what was passing through his insane mind is still a mystery (we are on Firiona Vie so no alts there). Well to make the story short: I petitionned to get my heretic back but since I used the same name for my druidess = impossible to get her back, I was keyed and all. I had to start over from level 1, took me like 2 months to gather the courage to do it but I don't regret it at all. Strangely going through all those low levels again is fun, especially because I try to hunt at unusual places or spots I never tried before, I am discovering Norrath all over again. And my friend? Heehee he's back to the O so wonderful necromancy also... our reroll was the most stupidest mistake we made in years *laughs*

Last time I had a cleric ld in ldon, me and my other necro friend won the adventure before he could log back on. formerlyldcleric tells you, sorry man I 1018'd and couldn't get back on for 20mins. you tell clericwithbadconnection, np man, enjoythe points... clericwithgerbilinarunningwheelforaISP tells you, huh??, /r dude...we won, go lfg.

Some people make more out of EQ then a game should ever be, if ya gotta go...ya gotta go. The other 5 people should be able to compensate for any one person in the group leaving, reguardless of who it is. Especially if one of them is here reading this (aka, is a necromancer). We don't exactly need any help in ldon, the other people are there as decoration, or someone to keep us company. Personally I like ldon grouped, because I need something to hold my interest/attention...the game content certaintly does not.

All that's a long-winded way to say, badmouthing people because they had to leave an adventure a few times is lame.

Heh.. with the servers as screwy as they have been I'm on a cable modem and have 1018 issues at least 60% of the time I LD (and I LD so often "Perse's ritual LD of the evening" has become a guild joke.) Thankfully, I'm most often with my boyfriend so I can call him and tell him I'm 1018ing and he lets the group know.

LDing on purpose is lame as hell, but sometimes people do legitimately LD.
