Has anyone ever successfully solo'ed this camp in the back of the Deep ? I have worked my way back there several times, which is a trick in itself, but once back there I can't seem to break this camp. It's a tight camp, not much room to move so FD pulling is hard, and the spawn cycle is quick, which also does not help. I know I can hold the camp if I could just break it. I had hoped once I got CoB and Summoners boon I could handle the initial adds, but that does not seem to be the case. Advise ?

When I went there, I inherited the camp from someone who had already broken the spawn, keeping it dead wasn't really all that challenging, and COB really does a number on these mobs =). IF there's multiple mobs that you can't split I normally root, and use pet loh if heals on pets are falling behind. Then do the WTD, SoD, and perhaps even lifeburn...Kinda just hit all the hot-keys I have and hope it's enough. I"ll go and let it respawn later this week and see how it is =)

Thanks Jeb. I'd be curious to hear. The first three at the camp entrance are not a problem. You root the one on the right, and the one on the left aggroes. After those 2 are done, kill the one in the center. Pretty standard stuff. The problem comes with the 5 in the back. Seems like I was getting them all on every pull. Perhaps there is specific order to keep from aggroing all 5. I messed with them awhile, had to FD alot, but on one attempt, FD didnt catch and all 5 had me.....I gave up after that. I'll try again when I get the chance.....

Sometimes pulling with extended range items help...I'm curious as to whether or not they're too high for screaming terror. Also you could just chain park them and kill one at a time. Maybe darkness back up, fd...stand fd, stand, fd...until one gets far enough away from the others that they don't add. It'd be interesting with the repops there, but I'll give it a try.

I thought this camp was kinda fun to break.. you have to pay clos eattention to the names of the mobs and find out which are casters and which are not. The reason for this is that the caster will 90% of the time starts casting on you as soon as you aggro them thus breakign FD if you try to FD pull. for the fisrt 3, usually one of them is a melle mob so you will want to cast root on him to start the pull, if one of the others are also a melle you want to send you pet after him when he charges at you, then root the other caster while its casting on you. Now you got 2 rooted mobs and 1 beating on your pet. kill the one your pet is on and dot the others while your pet heals up. its important to leave a gap between the the killins cuz You don;t want all 3 of them to spawn on you at the same time next cycle. So kill the other caster next and med/wait a min while leaves the melle mob rooted, then kill him.

The 5 in the back I didn't have a problem with . i would darkness the one of the right and usually the 2 next to it will come at me. I would run back out of cast range and FD. when i got back up the one i darknessed was out of aggro range of the others so i wouls get him single. then I would root the one on the far left and only the middle spawn would aggro me, send pet on him and kill him. then kill the one you rooted.. the rest is easy. Just remember to leave gaps int he spawn so you don't get in over your head with repops being too fast. It can be a long camp.. took me about 4 hours to get my wand and 2 cloaks.

DogMeat, you make it sound so simple. I tried what you said, but my problem was when I stood, they still rush you as long as the snare was on one of them.....hmmmm.....I am using my highest level snare/dot....wonder if i go back to dooming darkness, which I don't believe includes a DoT, if this would help with the aggro. I am going to do this yet !!! :)

BTW- while we are on the subject, how do you cross the canyon ? I tried the invis bridge marked on my online map once, but just before I got to the other side, fell through. I have gotten in the habit of casting Q and just jumping off the ledge and climbing up the other side...but this is not going to be an option if I lead others in. You have any problems crossing the bridge ? I have also read that if you beat that mushroom to about 10% and then pull back when he trys to escape, he will cross the bridge and you can follow, but I have not tried that.

Thanks !

Dooming Darkness has a 20dmg per tick DoT on it...

I think you might actually be on the right track with Dooming... since it's only a 59% snare, the mob should get further away from the original camp on the pull. Instead of Embracing, which is 75%, the mob will be closer to camp...

Try with Dooming, run back a bit, FD... if it's still too close to camp... let it run at you, FD again and this time it should definitely be far enough away.

Fear a mushroom and follow it.

OK, dooming darkness and fear the mushroom....I'll let you know how it goes. By the way, I don't know where they came from, but on my last trip in, very near the entrance there were 2 named up, never seen them before. One dropped a pretty nice necklace, good stats, and the other dropped almost 400 plat...I almost fell over :) I caught them wandering....wish I knew where the money man spawned ! :)

Money man is a random spawn. He can spawn anywhere before the canyon. He always drop about 400pp. He's just not up often.
