warrior/rogue pets

I have just come back after 5 years. I have been reading alot about warrior/rogue pet AIs. but have yet to understand them.
Can someone explain the difference? are they the same pet and you chose and AI for it or are there separate spells to call them?
Just an overview would be great!

The rogue pet and the warrior pet are different spells.

The warrior pet is a better tank (more mitigation and hps, not significant until SoD levels in my opinion) and Rogue is slightly more dps.

actally I did read them :p but it still did not answer my question... at least right away.

Thanx vivamort, that does answer it. I did go back to one of the stickys at look at the different pets. I see that in the upper level pets it seems that every other level you get a rogue or a warrior pet. is that correct?
so at that point you would just summon up which one you want?

Correct, at a certain point you just summon whichever you need tank or dps.
