Dead Man Floatting

Hello!
I'm actually 42 and the great lvl 44 is very close! :lol:
I just looked on the web about place to buy my new spells and I noticed that Dead Man Floatting is Research Only...
My problem is that I found 2 different lists of words needed...
One of you can show me the "true" words I need for it?

You're probably confusing Dead Men Floating with Dead Man Floating (two different spells, the first a group version of DMF). I bought DMF in the Bazaar for a few plat, last night on my server I saw several copies there for 50pp or so.

The level 44 spell is made with Words of Burnishing and Words of the Psyche. I had trouble getting drops for those but found multiple copies on the PoK vendors for under 10p each.

DmanF is a lvl 44 spell and you'll need these words to create it. Psyche + Burnishing (this is tested on the server)

DmenF is a lvl 49 spell which is drop or you need to do advanced research (the 8 slot book with quill and parchment) and these words: Agony + Asylum

Asylum is easy to pick up, Agony drops in the following zones: Cazic Thule, Veksar, WW, Mon letalis

I had both dmf's at lvl using research, the Dead Men Floating is a rare drop and will more than likely be found by research.

Just a side note that I have discovered in 4 adventures in Tak over the last week, we have looted:

6 sets of words (burnishing, psyche)... and I have noticed that the magus there has always had atleast one copy of both for sale.

I usually buy my words on pok vendors or bazaar for 5pp or less since I am the most unlucky necro in all Norrath when it comes to looting words *pouts*

Dulak tends to drop the words for Dead Man Floating.

I did not realize Dead MEN Floating was researchable.

FYI. I am 200 research on the Rathe Server and will be glad to do combines for you if you want. It took 3K plat to get this level and I want to use it. :angry:

FYI, Words of Agony (the rare words for the group version) dropped in Everfrost LDoN in a high 50s low 60s group. Do enough here and you should get 1, or hit the Magi after a server reset and maybe you'll get lucky.

I'm now the happy owner of purple DMF. Maybe I'll get MGB afterall :).

Woot! Got Words of Agony off an animist in Veksar the other night. I've seen it drop there several times before. Thank Innoruuk for the successful combine - I can now single and group-cast DMF.

When i solo veskar, I am 65 now, you will see anywhere from 0 to lots of words drop. You can tell the higher level ones from the lower because higher level words have the same graphic as an ornate pattern.
A simple tip is know what words u need, if you get into an ldon mission in the mid 50's and higher have a note card with the ones u need. I did that and ended up saving a ton of money on spells. Also if you do a lot of veskar you will get all the words you need. Agony is never on sale in the bazaar, and after my 20th hour of veskar, give or take a few, i got it last night. But i did also get all thewords for Fun.

Not only can you save a ton of money on spells, you can also make a bit of change by researching rare spells and selling in the bazaar for a reasonable price. For instance, one Trader was selling the Words of Agony for 10k one day while I was selling the Spell: Dead Men Floating for 2.5K. If you farm words and sell your spells and excess words at a reasonable price, there is money to be made as some of the more casual players would rather purchase something (not overpriced mind you) than farm the words.

You can buy Dead Man Floating in Abysmal Sea from Yiem Rynawu for 20 pp or so, if I recall correctly.

It seems a lot of the pre 49 researched spells can be bought there.
