Newbie armor queast

I'm a lvl 8 dark elf necro, I am doing my newbie quest on the roll playing server and have been able to find everything that I need other than the embalming dust. No one seems to know where to get this and I have looked all over the zone and talked to everyone I can, still no dust. Please help. Thanks to anyone who can help.


Thanks to everyone for the advice on where to find the embalming dust however I went to Oasis and the gypsie camp merchants will not sell to me is there a way to improve faction or anyother ideas would be more than welcome, thanks again.

You'll often find it for sale on NPC merchants in Oasis or South Ro: it drops off of mummies there and players sell it to the merchants. That's where I got mine.

I think it was supposed to drop from the (rare) mummies that spawn in Nektulos, but got left off the drop table somehow.

I went to the undead spire in NRO and got it to drop. But yes, check out vendors and the bazaar for it if you cant get it to drop.

I also bought the embalming dust from the oasis vendors (gypsie camp), the mummies in Nektulos don't seem to be embalmed with dust.... that drop is just way to rare to be worth the trouble of camping them, did I mention that they don't spawn very often? Bazaar is also a solution but people there would probably ask too much for it, like with 10p you could buy something better. If you can catch me online (am also from Firiona Vie) feel free to send me a tell, I'll help you if you cannot find any.

I have a DE necro on the FV server and also had that problem...

I ended up finding mine on a vendor in PoK for about 2pp each. It wiped out my spell fund but it beat continuing to futilely kill mummies.

Feel free to look up Zillanor if you ever want to chat... she's level 10 since I don't get over to play her as much as I'd like to... /wistful sigh

Used to see it all the time on the mummies in North & South Ro, and Oasis.

hehe spent several hours killin' zombies (well, that and everything that moved) in north ro and oasis and never did get one of those drops for a new guildie... I would definitely suggest buying one.
