Hunting for exp and pp at 34+

Hello I am a current 36 necro and a returner to EQ, I had left the game over a year ago and just returned in Oct 2003. I gave away my old account to my nephew so I started over (was a 55 necro on a different server). That said i got to tell you that the following guide is for all of you broke first time necros

All you will need for this money making adventure is the following (Starting at 34)

1. 75-85pp per sow potion (10 charge)
2. your 34 spells
3. be fearless :blink:
4. and do the following

First go to the bazaar and buy a sow potion (initial investment) then travel to the Rath Mountains and find the area with the HG *follow in straight from ferrot and then take a right when you first see the egyptian thing*

Ok here is the trick load the following spells
1. Darkness spell (to slow)
2. VoS
3. Life tap
4. life draw
5. root
6. FD
7. Fear
8. Lich / and buffs when needed
*all your best spells for each of these

On the hill the Hill Giants spawn, I suggest at low lvls you camp at the bottom of the hill near the wall (right side ) leave a pet here and go pull to here. (buff up and drink a sow potion) pull with slow (careful not to pull over other mobs) and run to your pet, I can usually stack 3 DoT on it by the time you get to the pet. then of course fear sick pet and re-darkness (make sure darkness doesent end without being reset) the tracking at the bottom of the hill in the valley is great for non adds. If you do get adds just root them and worry bout them later. reason for the sow potions is that if when you pull you get a resist you gonna need it to run to your pet to get him to take the aggro so you can re-try darkness so that fear kyting him is easy. Most HG are yellow white and Blue at 35 but done correctly it is easy killin with little death you will get 30-40pp on most HG your 75-80pp investment will produce about 600-900pp for the 10 charges used (bind at oggok and run back and forth for loot drops) The exp is also ok here but not great like in LDoN at this lvl but the cash is the sweet deal. Lots of people farm here and for the most part people are nice about sharing

wow ppl must be real nice on your server, cause on mine they are rude and ks your mobs. take for example a high lvl necro (he was using specter pet) stole 3 of my giants. I pulled one then took of to where pet was parked when I turned to cast another dot I saw my giant being feared in another direction, then another spawned so I tagged it and took off and saw his hp dropping and yet again he had stole my mob, so I tried a different hg and another necro stole that one I said hey that was mine he was like sorry my spell must have hit him first and I said bs cause the damn thing was chasing me. no reply.. so generally what I have found it that most ppl in this zone are greedy sob's. so I cant wait til I get to 50 so I can go to the places where they arent farming.

I agree that there are times that too many people are here and rudeness happens.

I also agree with that I must be on a nice server....I was previously on Luclin server and yes it was like you are saying. On Lan T' its a wonderful experience and the reason I picked this server is because it conssistantly had the lowest number of people online during my play times for over 2 weeks so I picked it. The players here dont spend all their time trying to find a place to hunt because it is all pretty empty all the time, and finding a group is quite simple considering everyone is always willing to put up LFG when needed

To all who look for a group please put up you are looking and when a group looking post also otherwise you are missing out on a lot of great adventures,

WE Rule as solo artists yet groups are reluctant to invite us because they dont know how helpful we are :rolleyes: join groups all you great necros and improve our reputation

First of all, I would recommend not going here until you have done the JBoots quest. Why waste 100pp on 10 dose potions over and over and over again when you can spend 200pp in gold at the end of this quest and pay no more money for a running buff. Yes, the AC spawn may be ridiculous, but hey, its worth (at least it was to me). Although it may be easier to pull them and kill them at the wall it can be a lot riskier. In RM, there are always people killing them, so they respawn a lot. You may never know when one is going to spawn. In my experience in Rathe Mountains most of the Hill Giants tend to spawn on the slopes of the hill and not directly on the hill. This leads to easy killing without adds. And in my experience here, no one is nice. They all want the plat, such as a 60 shammy pulling 3-4 HG's at once, as I have seen.
