Okay.. I wanted to know when does spell dmg/effectiveness increase. Take disease cloud for example.. it does 5 initial dmg plus 1 every few seconds.. does the damage increase every level or if you have +int or what? Someone told me I had to buy the spell again and put it back into my spellbook, I don't know if that's true or not. Same question with healing spells.. how do you heal for more? Do you have to wait til you get a better heal spell?

Alot of spells dont really change any significant amount until you get the next spell

Alot of spells do increas a little over a range of levels

For example a lvl 1 heal may heal for 10 points at level one and by levl 4 (next spell level ) it caps out at a 15 point heal once at the cap though it inc no more so even a level 60 csting it will only get 15 out of it .

Alot of spell listings show this with this type of format when talking of what it does

Lesser healing
10 (lvl1) 15 (lvl4)

Hope this helps

Int doesnt effect this at all

First thing, you will NOT need to repurchase the spell and rescribe it, since you already have the spell. The damage on Disease Cloud, I believe, stays the same (5 at beginning, 1 every tick). This is true for most other spells (except for DD's) and the only way it will do more damage is by per tick, which can increase with every level (Heart Flutter:16 for instance-- at level 16 there are 8 ticks to 1.2 minutes at level 24). Int, as Cristo said, does not affect the damage done by your DoTs, int affects your mana.

Also, as Cristo said, the healing spell will improve, but it will max out (Minor Healing- increase hp by 10 and then at level 5 for clerics you receive Light Healing- 26 (lvl 5)- 33 (18) ). So yes the healing spells increase in the amount of HP they give back, and the amount grows as you get better heals.

Only way to increase DoT effectiiveness is to get an Affliction Efficiency Focus Item, but that only increases the duration of the DoT. Say if some thing lasts for 90 seconds, it'll make last for 108 making it hit three more times for whatever amount of damage it does per tick. Works with Heal over Time Life Taps too, great with Darkness line Snare component as well...
