I've seen a lot of good info lately on farming spots for necros...only problem is I'm only 37 and most of the info is geared toward higher level.

I made a mistake creating my Necro, (my first caster class) I outfitted him without thinking about Int so I've only got a 151 Int. Time to upgrade!!

I've tried a few places that give me exp and some coin but it's slow going. I'm currently in Gunthak Beach and enjoying the exp and what coin I do make. I don't want an easy track to making pp or good drops. I want a challenge and hopefully a good spot to farm that still gives exp...I would prefer a place that gives exp over the coin but would let me make 1-2k even if it means hunting in the same spot of a week or so...as long as I get exp.

Any suggestions on places to exp and farm for the mid levels?

i did the druid rings in the middle of west commonlands around your level... they pop quick and you can sell the weapons they drop to a vendor standing right there :P

they have sow and need to be split, but with a little practice you should be able to figure out how to split them up so you're just fighting singles... after that it's easy money

i think they are about L30, so maybe a little xp too

EDIT: btw, 150 int is fine... i was 160ish till my 50s... go for hp/mana and then level III focus items when you can afford or quest them

Exactly... hehe int is relatively unimportant... as you upgrade each of your logical upgrades will include nice int so it will catch up - and besides if you aren't having too much of a difficulty with mana supply at 37 then you wouldn't benefit greatly from a large increase in INT anyways.

Don't worry about money yet - you experience is the key... if you can do the druids as Rijak says while they are good experience other wise to things like LDoN"s (noticed NRo has a significantly larger split than the other zones that I have tried) or getting in a group - it won't be long before you are in your 40's and most of the mobs drp from 1-6 pp each and then money starts flowing in.

But, alternatives are good.

If you have LoY, try Dulak. Yes, Dulak at 37. At level 37, you can group with people up to and including level 56. Find a group and do the row houses, docks, or get one of the lower boats. Do not sit around the zone line. Gems drop often enough to make it worthwhile. If you get a lot of resists, you may need to debuff resistances and limited to taps and leeches, but overall I didn't find it a problem.

If you have Kunark (I assume you do), try the giant fort in Firiona Vie (NE of #1 on this map (http://www.eqatlas.com/kunark/firionaviemap.html)) or Dreadlands (#8 (http://www.eqatlas.com/kunark/dreadlandsmap.html)). Plat drops overall aren't that great. However, the giants occasionally (frequently enough to be pertinent) drop items that sell to vendors for 20-50?-ish plat. You can easily up your purse in a night or two. You should be able to solo many of the giants, but some will be out of your range and a partner will help.

If you are looking for more solo-ish stuff, there's always Unrest or Mistmoore farming. Kill the mid to higher level mobs and fine steel drops will weigh you down before you know it. Careful of the casters, of course.

If you have the Luclin expansion, you can always farm tradeskill items. Swirling shadows consistently sell for 50-110p on our server, based on availability et al. Even assuming a modest 20p each, at your level you can farm swirling shadows so fast it would be nice. Of course, you'd get no xp. Kill the skeletons at the NE corner of this map (http://www.eqatlas.com/luclin/shadeweaversthicketmap.html) near the cave entrance.

From personal experiences, I'd urge Dulak over the others. I partnered in Dulak from around your level to about 43 and easily cleared upwards of 3k. As usual, you really want a good group/partner with constant kills and minimal down time.

Anyway, best of luck to ya. I hope this helps or at least gives you some choices.

Take care,

Dulak is a very nice little spot in the upper 30s for both XP and plat... but if you're looking for a change of scenery...

Dorfs in BB are decent pp at that level (between the axes they always drop, ringmail and the ever popular dwarven blood for ogre cultural smithing that isn't a regular seller in the bazaar, but the people that buy it will generally buy everything you have...

Geonids and spiders in Crystal Caverns are also nice for a little coin in the high 30s early 40s. The geonids drop chipped gems (non Velious armour gems) and the spiders drop crystalline silk that has a pretty regular market in the bazaar for tailoring and Thurg gate potions.

ToFS is also a vastly under utalized zone that is a decent money maker from trash drops. At 37 & untwinked, I wouldn't suggest going past level 2, but even on the lower levels its a fun zone.

Spider silks, Spiderling silks, Do the Guys that drop Acryilc that are your level good exp and great money. You would be suprised how much cash you rake in from people doing this stuff. Just go out and camp it. Level really is the key, last night in one hour i made 3 k in drops out in Velks. What uber item did i get? Velium. Bricks, small pieces, etc. And the silks for the Prayer shawl. At 63 if the vamp castle is full i will run through the arcylia caverns, then after that i will go check castle. If i have castle i will clear and goto the caverns and come back to see if it is open. You can make a ton of money from people trying to increase their craft. If you see any dark elfs crafters, for example, camp shadow men. Swirling smoke is a rare drop but people will pay 150p per for it on luclin. Shadowmen go down quick and you get your self 20 or so of these thats good easy money.
Also try guards in HHK first floor. Most should be green easy kills good money good fine steel weapons.
