Ok, I finally conceded that EQ is Broke, This is how I would fix it.
If you scroll down real fast and click on my name you will see all my gear up to date....
Ok your back now. I know your Boggled, Lets all take a deep Breath. I never Looted none of It, All Bought from other players. Hmmm, Is That right? To be honest, I never did have the fun of Killing Mobs for that Loot.
I Wished I did though.
Twinking is cool up to a point and the point as I see it diminishing, Is when Twinking benefits you more than the game does. Obviously I am a twinker.
The thing that most set me upon this path to perdition is that I am by nature a Soloist, I love the monsters and Zones, The Challenge of Killing them. These are smart monsters you have to agree. I haven't found another game that Matches this in terms of strategy.
To get the Calibre of Armors I have obviously takes a very smart group or a raid force, none of which I have.
This is whats wrong with the game, I can aquire what Most raiders (low End) dream about.
My solution is; ALL no-drop armor except Vendor loots, Ruby crowns, fine steel etc... ( hey, we need some pp to buy those horses and Drogs with.)
Quest Items can be traded up to lvl 40 or so quest. After that, No-drop.....
But, however, These same quest can take a differant path and be soloed, also No-drop, Perhaps longer time sink. That way it is Beneficial to group, But can be soloed. Every One has same chance, Just differant paths and time involved.
I do not feel guilty for buying my gear. I played a Differant game than Most, And that allowed me the Plat to Equip. I made this Subject to Ease my mind, I said It Was Broke in another post, This Ones to say How I'd Fix it. Ying/yang........

Hmm I see your point but I soon got lost. Yea. My stuff is also vendor bought. You see I am smart with money. When I started EQ I picked it up fast. I farmed silks/ect. I made up money, bought whatever was popular and sold it. Now I am lvl 30 selling 8000pp items and buying 10k worth of items. Yes I ruined the economy but had fun doing it! I send more time on my bazaar parked trader than my main! Anyway I have no clue if that had anything to do with the original post.

same here as keel although i have dropped out of the habbit of destorying the economy by doing the supply and demand thing or buy stuff for awesome prices and jack up price to regular or little higher and make good profit out of it so u guys arent the only ones out there just about everyone does it

I'm kinda tired of seeing No Drop loot rot. You have nice gear and somethings that a level 52 necro couldn't get on their own...but, don't take this the wrong way or anything, nothing you have would constitute a raid force to get. I can probably see maybe 2 groups for your belt and primary and that'd be about it. Also girdle of mithaniel marr is groupable and arguably better, unless you need the effect.
Droppable loot exists to generate an economy. Spells are droppable, armor, weapons, food, drink, tradeskill components, etc etc etc. It's part of the game, and always has been. Not everyone can join a guild, or group long enough in Dragon's Necropolis with 6-12 people to kill get Zlandicar to spawn and kill him before someone else does...so they buy the drop. It's still an investment in time to farm the items and sell them for the plat for the heart, or if you wanna go even further you bought the plat on ebay or where-ever and invested real life time and money to develop a character in a fictional world. It's still an investment in time and requires atleast some effort.
Twinking, I personally detest alts. There's nothing I could ever do with an alt that I can't do with my main, with the exception of dual wield an track(and the like) and I don't have enough desire to seriously develop a character that can do those things. I get a character to 20-25 and see a slightly red con, and can't solo and it infuriates me, at which point I load up a trader, and sell all his junk and delete him. Then play Jebasiz. I don't really care if other people come in and get this or that for their alt, it's a game however you acquire what you have is your business and noone should make you feel guilty about it, or diminish your accomplishment. If you don't put in the time and effort to go fight mobs and get the experience, and enjoy the encounters that go with that, that's your loss, and either way...It doesn't effect me (or anyone else but you) at all. As long as your not hacking, duping, or stealing....whatever your "deal" is to get platinum and buy stuff you can't go loot off dead mobs...it's only your loss, when you deny yourself the experience of the encounters...if your ok with that...then who really cares.

I've always been a fan of the Trivial Loot Code.
I'd love to see more servers like FV -- less is NoDrop, but not farmable by the ubers.

I wrote something really long, then decided it could actually be summed up better... My issues with the game dovetail this.
I am a fairly new player. What I think is wrong with the game is that it forces newer players to skip content and twink. Right now there isn't a way for me to see old content - it's just not done any more.
Heck, I'm not even going to see what's currently the 'new' content. Backflagging is an extrememly rare occurence on my server. I will be applying for the Time guild soon - but it is looking more and more like I will never see Time. There is a distinct probability they will simply push all new applicants towards GoD and never bother flagging them for Time at all.
I would love to see old content, but it won't happen. Don't make it quests - the quests created worth doing are few and far between and I don't trust the developers on that. Don't make it no drop - this won't mean that guilds will raid more old content - it will just mean I will never get anything at all. Leave me my bazaar gear so that at least I stand a chance of being able to join a raiding guild and at least see the 'new' content. Better new than nothing.
And yes, this is the short version.

Aryse...Ntov is unlocked and a good good raid zone. Yeah I hated it when we farmed it...but a few run-throughs can be alot of fun. There's a whole bunch of dragons and different fights to be had there, and alot of people may actually go a few times just to reminisce... I'm not sure how sullon works, but maybe the guild your in or the guild your allied with could pull off a raid there. It was "uber" back in the day and it's quite fun still. Srra is my mind is still viable for many many guilds to raid and gear up in, and shouldn't be skipped imo. VP is worthless... Missing time would be a significant loss, personally I always enjoyed plane of fire more...but time was fun for a few months. Uqua is hell...Iknnz can be ok if lead well, but if not it's very very hatefull.
