Summon Lesser Corpse

I am new to the necro class and am level 14 at the moment. I only just found out about this spell yesterday and was wondering if I die can I just run back to the bank in Paineel, grab the black ceremonial coffin stored there cast the spell and have my corpse come back to me? or is not how it works??

As well, Most Container Vendors sell the Black Coffin 2pp. Remember to be in zone, cast Locate corpse to be sure; Predominately when your summoning someone else. ( some people lose there head upon dying ). And when summoning someone else, remember to group with them. Do as Fiz said and your GTG....

Do you have to be in the zone where you died? or can you be back at your starting city or POK etc

Yes, it works same-zone only.

If you must, /consent an alt of yours to make sure which zone your body is adorning.
