Sedulous Subversion is a level 56 spell, if I'm not mistaken.

yeah i think it is like 300 mana to cast and it only gives away 100 a horrible waist of mana i woukld recomend useing your group mana tap then every one in group gets 300 mana 300 *6 people so if you need to give mana away use mana tap

NOT a waste of mana. For instance a Valor melee group WILL be a serious drain on the cleric's mana and you have 2 choices: become the cleric's own personal Coppertop battery or sit around doing nothing wasting time getting no xp while the cleric meds to 50. If you're fighting casters, hell Mind Wrack the crap outta them it's great. If not resisted Mind Wrack costs you 300 mana and regens the whole group by 300 mana. Pretty efficient with our Lich-line regen.
But unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, you're not always fighting caster mobs. Thus: Sedulous Subversion.
Being a battery isn't sexy, or fun. If I can avoid it I certainly will. But there are times it becomes our role, our lot in life, and I'm happy to play the role if it means our grp can keep up the slaughter.

Twitching a person is probably one of our most class defining abilities. It is a very powerful tool. In my guild i have 2 other necros in my team. On raid situations we are very helpful on the startup after all the buffing to get things rolling. By loading up Sedulous Subversion and Coveteous we can double twitch one person. Think about that by itself and its pretty darn powerful. Now add in 2 other Necros Double Twitching one person. We have effectively severely decresed the time it takes for a raid to actually begin. once the fighting starts you toss in your pet and med maybe throw an occassional nuke or HoT. I always ensure that i have a regenner in the grp so im probably losing about 10 hp a tick so i dont need to do it that often.
Point is simple, to twitch is a self serving thing. If the cleric gets the mana then the MT stays alive and the mob doesnt eventually rip thru the rest of the raid and ulitmately you. Oh sure you could FD and res cleric etc or do a summons but why should you allow that to happen when you have the power to stop it. I designed my necro to have good mana and mana regen so i can twitch to my hearts content on a raid or even a grp. I use Mindwrack alot even at 65 to toss in an additional 300 mana over time. I have never had to many problems getting mind wrack to stick if the mob was malo'd. but its a way to keep the grp/raid going and running efficiently. With mod rods, Chanter crack, bards and self buffs we are just adding to the mix but it is instant. A couple of necros backing up a Cleric CH chain could be the difference between life and death of a raid. Not always but my philosophy is to not let others die due to my negligence.
Note: Mind Wrack is 600 mana and we regen 300 of it back on the overtime component the rest is pretty easily medded back almost before the ticks are finished on the bar.
