My opinion is neither. Zheart has always been overrated in my opinion. its got some decent stats dont get me wrong and 5 regen is nice. If ya want to buy it go for it. The epic i cant imagine ever using it to be honest. I started it in my youth but i dont particularly like the cast time on the Snare. i saw that later we got a better one so i bought an AFF Haste 4 item and just used my current snare. Anyway stat wise Epic is better but not worth the time sink imo. Z heart isnt worth the cash for 5 regen. Maybe for a lowbie chara it would be ok but with regen gear and AA's with seduction of saryn i lose 35hp a tick atm. if i have a replen its 10hp. sure that would knock it to 5 but with a 200 per tick HoT on 5 points is rather trivial. And that doesnt take into account those out there with Burn 4 items. Anyway to reiterate. For me, given the choice between the two...neither is worth the time or money.

Love my Zheart. May end up selling it to afford some of the more pricey spells, but it has been my friend and companion for 60 lvls.

On Torvo they usually run 30k or so.. but if you're picky you can get one for 20k. Worth it? IMHO yes, if you've been farming Seb and have plat to spare. But if you're like most and aren't rich beyond the dreams of avarice save your money for the Saryn and Bertoxx pets, or Funeral Pyre of Kelador. Tho Bertoxx is arguably not worth 60k or whatever some noid is selling it for.

There are a few HP regen augments out there that you can get with LDoN. The ZHeart, IMHO, is just another pricey Bazaar piece.

There is also an HP renegeration cloak you can quest from drops in the revamped Nurga. The drops for the quest are not nodrop, so you can check Bazaar for them. The end result cloak is nodrop though.

ATM im working on a chardok quest for an item that can go in arms, wrists, or shoulders with Aura of Battle, which is 2 hp regen per tick... but its a toughy and it involves a lot.... currently im only workin on my faction for it, but ill get a guide for it up asap and ill let everyone know how it goes...

i dunno why im posting this here, i just saw teh hp regen cloak so it reminded me of that quest....

If ya want toss it in the quest section its a good quest. Im currently working on chardok faction in Droga myself to help compensate for the multiple Cleric/warrior Epic raids we have done.

To kill Zland in the revamped DN I would need about 2 group of around 65 or skilled 60's correct~? (my main is a 65 paladin ~ could he tank Zland he has 8169 with raid buffs)

I use both, when i am soloing alot of the time i will use epic to pull, then i will switch back to my Zheart for the regen. 5 ticks or 1 tick, its still more than you get without. and for the snare/dot of the epic... its mana free why would you NOT use it? just my 2 cents. not to mention the amount of INT you get from these items...

I have a Z heart for sale on The Nameless if you want it. I also agree it is overated. At 64 it barely makes a dent in my regen rate and as such I don't really need it. I use focus items on the whole in my Primary, secondary, and range slots.

I will sell it for 32k even though I see them going for up to 50kpp on my server.

as far as the effort - for - performance ratio of these two items goes, zheart would be much easier. you can BUY it. no sweat, and great for any non dragonchild race to boost their hurting hp regen. as an iksar myself, with one of these things i would be just too nasty and have much less downtime. more hp regen means lifetapping less which means mana better spent on dd/dot/utility DETRIMENTAL =)

the epic, on the other hand, is just that. a quest of EPIC proportions. hours and days of work intricate planning timing and many hours of research and development to be then shared upon the raid force which you must muster for 3 seprate planes. as many have agredd = useful, yes. worth the effort, no.

so get zheart if ya got the cash, if not, get some FOCUS items! FOCUS ROCKS! focus your energy daniel son!

for the person who asked about Zland in DN, hes actually one group doable.. not two.. 65 ers preferred, but hes been knocked down with less. On our server ™ theres been talk of even someone tri boxing him solo.. Good warrior,sham, drood, or cleric, or dps can take this guy out easily.. he's a wimp. like most dragons he has an ae, but with proper resists it doesnt hurt all that much, and for the chance at gettin some of the stuff he drops I'd say its worth the kill.. Cowl of Mortality drops off him and goes for around 60k ish - 80 k on TM, Zlandi heart goes for 20-30 kish.. Zlandi talisman is an ST key part, so u might run into peeps campin him already.. but if u do have a chance to take him out, u really dont need much more than what I listed up above:) keep in mind, hes on a 3 day timer, not like a lot of other dragons who are on a week timer..

I can just tell ya, I wont be replacing my Zheart with the epic. The regen is the most valuable thing you can have, who cares about extra mana if you cant bring it back efficiently. Trust me, Zheart is the best thing I have ever bought.
