I have just been ripped off by someone I thought to be a friend. I've known this guy for nearly 4 years now and we both play EQ. My computer is kind of fritzy in certain zones, so he offered to help me out with it by doing the camping and stuff in those zones for me while he was at college......well, it turns out, he swapped all of my gear onto his account and I haven't seen him since.... So my 42 SK, 24 Necro, and my 35 rogue are all naked with only the no drop items i had on them, basically the starting backpack and some food/drink.

It just erks me that someone would be that much of a bastard. I mean, i've been friends with him for nearly 4 years and he just completly disrespected me right there. I have nothing on my characters at all. I'm just happy he didn't delete them while he was screwing it all up.

What makes it worse is, I had contacted a GM about it and he said it was my own fault for giving out the password/user name. I know he's right, but I still had to try and argue for my stuff. It was probably worth around 50k or so all together..../growl.... Looks like i'm gonna have to start farming even more silks and pelts again....i thought i was done with that /sigh.

Oh well, i just needed a place to rant. I'm not looking for hand outs or anything, but if you're willing to, by all means ;) ;) ;) Well thanks for listening (well, reading) my rant.

Wish I could offer some help or advice other than never trust anyone...but who am I to speak. I have two friends that borrow my Necro for CRs and one who loots my trader for gear (always borrowed)....looted a trueborn dagger last night for his rogue.

Know him in RL? Hurt him that way....a bastard is a bastard and they deserve what they get.

heh, seems like Im hearin more n more of the same story everyday in guildchat, or from other friends around EQ.. : / I have a RL friend who uses my accts, and I share one with an EQ friend that Ive known for around 5 years (outside of EQ) as well.. heh seems like 50k is a rather cheap way to get out of a friendship (least when you get 65 or something he didnt outright sell your acct beneath ya) but sorry to hear that bs.. : /

Sorry to hear that man, had it happen to me a long time ago when a short sword of ykesha was 5k, stole like 20k worth of stuff which back then would probably be a lot more tha that.

Also you refer to this as volume 1, lets hope there is not a volume 2 in the making

Aye, what makes it worse is, I know the guy in RL but he hasn't come home from college at all so i haven't been able to kick the shit out of him. It just erks me that people would do that shit for stuff that doesn't even actually exist...../growl. Oh well. I'll get it back though. Been farming silks with my necro since my Melee's don't have any weapons. Gotten about 20k back already in silks, pelts and other tradeskill item sales.

Heh, i named it Volume 1 as a reference to those videos, "When Animals Attack!! Volume 1" hehe. Not that it'll happen again.

heard one of them stories the other day my buddy has a 65 ranger and warrior and cleric and he changes account info with a 65 monk and his buddy was at my buddys house and he wasnt home and stripped all his toons even his buddies 65 monk and deleted all the chars made them lvl 1 with the same name still waitin for words from gms to restore his account atm
