Research: Finding the Words

I just hit lvl 24 tonight and was wondering where i should start looking for words, needed for my lvl 24 pet. Which zones should i start farming for words?

As far as I have seen, the words for 24th Haunting Corpse and the pet buff spell Intensify Death, should all be found off of mobs in LoIO. I went there with my 44th Ranger and I did find a couple in the Sarnak Fort.

If not found in the baz, check as many vendors as possible. I know it sounds like a long and arduous thing to do, but often enough you will stumble across the ones you are looking for. Tedious, but its like winning the lottery when you find the ones you're looking for. :D

Its also a good idea to keep a list of all the words youll be needing past, future and present.

When you check vendors for words, you can keep your eye open for any words you may need, this will make things alot easier.

I'm looking in to ways of actually profiting from the research skill, so far its working out decently, and my skill is only at 70...I'll write up a thread on this.

Peyote, it has been a while since I was lvl 24. But I believe I found my words from checking out the merchants in the "OT" camp.

I found it to be a good source since nearly everyone has to go there to sell. Don't forget to check everyone! :rolleyes:

Another good thing to do is make up a lvl 1 "good" toon to check out those filthy cities like rivervale and such since they seem to have something against our type. Also, if you are in a guild, don't forget to ask other peeps to keep a look out for certain words, just make sure to return the favor as well as tome pages and runes, etc.

Its been awhile since I was level 24, I do remember going to LOiO and getting those words as well as checking players in my guild and of course checking vendors all over the place, including 3rd Gate.

I know its a daunting task as your bank soon becomes nothing but a bank full of words but if you can get your skill research level up to close to 200 or over when it comes time to research demi lich you will be happy you did it.

Im not sure on other servers but demi lich is very hard/rare spell to find and usually on TP the spell was going for anywhere from 12kpp to 20kpp. Among being able to research other spells that are high in pp cost as well.

hello all my fellow necros i have a simple but frustrating matter i have the book and the words (spirit,material) but for some reason it says i cant combine what is going on arg!!! :angry:

Vilcarnage, the spell Hungry Earth really just need words of materials and words of spirit in book of dark bindings. It should work. There is no beza or azia thing to those words so you can't make a mistake. Make sure you don't put a quill or piece of parchment in the book along with the words as for concordance quest, strange as it seems, people often make that mistake.

bazaar is a really good place too find words.
Words seem to drop off mobs alittle higher than the spell the words make.
so level 16 words would drop off 17-20 level mobs

Just thought I would add that the OVERTHERE outpost is also a good Place to find WORDs. Hope this Helps :D

Vilcarnage" I don't know if this will be your problem with the combine of your spell, but it is something I did when first trying research. :)

Make sure you have your book in your inentory!! :o I made the mistake of trying to combine while my book was still in my bank slot. :rolleyes:

The guards in Highkeep also drop words for the level 24 necro spells, though they're not really that common I've seen all the words drop for Intensify Death and 2 words for the 24 pet, so you may want to check that zone out as well.

Mistmoore is dropping quite a few words for me, since 24 I have been able to solo the entrance mobs pretty easily. Still using level 20 pet at 28 since I can't find the word of sentient ><
Oh well, soon I'll have 29 and have that pet spell ready to load! Woot!
After some research I have found that this drops in Sol A and Runneye. Writing up an alphabitized listing of words as I think it will be easier when merchant mining. Will post it when finished.
