Location of Necro Word Drops

Hey gang. I wanted to post this request. I am hearing that some people find different words in different places easier than others. I mean I went BLIND trying to find Words of Allure and then I hear that Runnyeye drops them like Candy. (Go figure I never went to Runny).

So I ask you all to do something. Over the next few days make yourself a log and write down what words you loot (or your group loots) and where you were when you got them. There are very few places reported for specific word drops and I have to beleive they are NOT random.

If we, as a group, make even 1/2 an effort to do this I beleive we will help the entire community over the long run.

I know that I would KILL to find some words as I have 9 words of this or that and just need to find where their mates are dropped.

Words that I know drop in certain areas

Allure - Runnyeye and Lake of Ill Omen
Detachment - Heard alot of players say to try Mistmoore but not sure on that yet
Suffering - Rathe Mountains
Dark Paths - Rathe Mountains
LDoN - drops alot of words depending on the grp's avg lvl
Possession - Lake of Ill Omen, High Keep

Strangely enuf, yesterday I had at least 2 conversations over words for pet spells. Heres a hot tip for all necro's just incase. If you are lvl 39 or below, you can get your pet spell from the Shadow knights guild. This includes the SK vendors in the Library in Pok. If you cant find the words, you can at least get your pet. by the time you reach lvl 39 you'll have done enuf farming for words or friends helping you out (at least I hope they help you out) you can get your pet spells for the upper lvls til 49. I'm only lvl 46 and already have all my lvl 49 spells. So if you are on quel, and need some help let me know.

Oh, btw, I believe there are some words only dropped by shadowmen too. I think resolve but not sure if I remember correctly.

Hello Dark Brothers and Sisters...

And yes...I know the name "Blueberrie" doesn't strike fear into your hearts... but it will... soon.. as soon as I FIND FRIGGIN WORDS OF ALLURE!

Currently L23 and I've ran my Ranger friend to HHK twice and landed all the words for the L24 pet and the L24 focus pet spell. And multiple copies at that. I only found them on the mining vendors though. And since the place is pretty camped, I suspect they get most of the vendor trash loot.

First off, let me say that this string is awesome. Thanx Mixylplix, for starting it.

I am level 45 so, I have been hunting in DL since I read this. I did manage to jot down what words dropped and off of what mobs. Here's what I have so far...

Ill try and pay more attention to where i got mine or pick them up now. I usually just used Allakhazams or EQ traders to find the word locations and then go hang out in those areas.

Well, its my research/pet/spell info document. Has 3 tables right now, the first is whats in this post. here a list below.

table one:
Words in alpha order, lvl of spell they create, zone which they have been found

Table two:
Lvl of spell, name of spell, words to create that spell (most all of these have been confirmed in one way or another, I think I have 2 left I have to confirm)

Table three: (is pet info)
lvl of the pet spell, name of spell, lvl of pet, hp of pet, damage of pet, pet skills

I'm presently working on fourth table which will be spells that drop and where I or other have found them. Most of these is found on the web, I've consoldiated all the information into 5 pages at this point and the fourth table will be. also contains a small list of trival lvls for spell research.

I'm not sure how to post the document, I certainly don't mind others having it or using or passing it out. I do go over the boards to find out more information, make notes find out which things are true and not, add them to the document as I find them.

I got a good bit of the words I needed from buying them off people in the PoK, but the miners in High Keep are excellent sources as well. Just a teeny tiny bit hard to get there (Damn Gather Shadows...works once for the full twenty minutes, and then I have to recast twice in a row right in the middle of High Pass.). Good luck finding the words.

I use ripway.com alot - it allows you to upload any type of file. Maybe that can help you out some.


I found a few words in Maiden's Eye but I can't remember what ones they were.

okay, document is up to date. I know they have that analysiser execel file, but my words change from day to day, and its hard to keep that up to day, so this reference file is much more to my taste. I've recently added another table which is for spell and where they have been known to drop.
