Armor Question

I am thinking about doing the quest to get rotting armor. Before I start, does anyone have any tips to help me get rotting armor or armor that is better then rotting so I don't waste my time. I am in great need of an armor upgrade and I will consider anyones advice. Feedback much appriecated.

I'd Just get the robe, mana free Conjure Corpse, and you get to use small coffins, HE HE HE HE

The rest of the stuff is ok but there is better, go to Casters Realm (http://eq.crgaming.com/focus/) and look up the focus items, Some really nice stuff there that isn't too hard to get.

As far as the four clicky Velious robes go, there's far better robes out there to use as a main. I'll probably get a Warlock's Robe, or a Robe of the Bonecaster, for the clicky... but I'm happy with my Robe of Haunted Dreams for my main "killin' stuff" robe.

One note about my current robe; I dyed it midnight blue, so I don't run around looking like a Priest of Discord. :D

(Sigh) I hate always being a noob but how do I activate focus effects?

Focus Effects activate when you use a spell that is effected by it, so Spell Haste would make it so the casting time of a spell would be shorter, Mana Preservation preserves mana (not exact but 100 mana would be say 90 instead, etc.)

Then how do I activate the conjure corpse on the rotting robe?

Items like Rotting Robe, Necro epic, cleric epic, etc., are often refered to as "clicky". They can be activated in two different ways. 1) Open your inventory window and right click on the item itself to activate it. 2) Make a hotkey for it by holding down the left mouse key on the item until a copy of the item appears on your cursor then dropping it in a spot in your hotkey window.
