DE necro new armor quest

i'm a de necro and i red about the book you can get at the end so i thought i'd do the newb armor quest. i cant find the halfing hides i was camping the only halfling camp i knew about at teh far west side on the south side of the river in nek for god knows how long am i camping the right place? any other help would be great thanks for your time

The easiest halflings to skin are the scouts; they walk from the 'halfling treestump' towards the so-called 'newbie log', and back.

I believe this is the quest you are refering too. Note!! it is not scalps/hides that you need at all. ;)

You will find the guy who gives the quest, on the top floor of the "Necro" guild in Neriak 3rd gate.

For the Book you need 4 pages of the writ, which drop from Undead Stewards near the Lavastorm zone. You can do it at about level 9 or so. Very good item, mana and hp help a lot.

Yep Emzeon is correct with regards to location. That is the spot, I should have mention the area where the guys spawned.

thanks for the help but i have one more question where are the mobs that you have to kill to get the pages of the writ??? like what zone what corner like ne sw. thanks alot for everyones help

The undead stewards can be found in the northwestern corner of the Nektulos Forest, near the '8' on the map:

6 - Halfing Town tho I believe it is referring to an orc camp
7 - Monolith (Obelisk with Undead)
8 - Dark Elf Graveyard
9 - Orc camps
K - Portal to Plane of Knowledge


Only item that will take you some time to find is the orc scout scalp. It is a rare drop off a rare mob.
