OK.. In the Good Ole Days you had 30 minutes to get your corpse below level 5 before it deressed. So this Gnome decided to go out to this "new" zone called Lesser Faydark. I am wandering around lost, no map, and BAM this thing called a Brownie Scout drills me with one shot. I never found that corpse and lost all my newbie gear and a nice velium staff someone had given me.
Then I cannt tell how many times I bought something I could not wear. DOH.. Sel it back for 50% of what I paid for it.. grumble grumble.
Then I got this nice robe from someone. It was a Necro Only 8AC robe with a few stats. For a newbie this thing was awesome. I accidetnally sold it to a vendor. I was just wanting to see what they thought it ws worth and hit sell. AHHHHHH. They gave my 8 plat and wanted 200 to get it back. BASTAGES..
The GM was typically useless to help me our. GRRRRR>

I've bought a few things from people I didn't mean to, that my class couldn't even use, and have sold countless items that were worth a lot more if sold to a PC and not an NPC. Pissed me off a lot, took for ever to get that plat back lol.

I was ML for an LDoN group. I took off my negative CHA gear when i went to go sell. Was a very nice split. Sold three pieces of my own armor...

The two that i did were typical newb mistakes. When i first started out i was given three bags full of stuff from agood friend who got me into the game. I targetted the banker and instead of putting stuff in the bank, i gave it to the banker. The second is also with the banker. Some time ago i was getting some items to equipped from the bank and kept dropping then in the center window of inventory window because it automatically goes to your bags also cause its faster that way. Just one problem.... My bags were full at the time, so all my stuff was falling on the floor and someone was conveniently picking it up. Errrrrr

I have a couple of fun noob stories, 1st was I was a DE cleric, and a gnome sends me a tell, can you do me a favor? I don't know what a tell is so I answer /ooc sure, but didn't know how he was talking to me. He busted a gut, and told me he was a necro, and he wanted some coffins. I said sure...he told me where to get them and gave me 600 plat!!! I was like OMG!!! how many of these things do you want? he said one stack of 20, they cost like 71pp each. I got back to him, and said well theres over 400 plat left and I have you a stack of coffins. I gave him the plat, and he cancelled, he said I just need the coffins!! I was like ARE you SURE!!! I was in heaven LOL bought me some cloth armor!!! and had money for spells WOOT!
My main is a bard, a wood elf bard. He, of course has some of the best death stories both as a noob and even these days. My favorite first death was when I'm playing the wrong song in town, and the guards beat me down. of course this is a chase because I have sow and don't even realize that when they say "I HATE WOOD ELVES LIKE YOU!!" that they are refering to me playing my 2nd lvl AE song.
Another fun noob death is wanting to talk to an NPC and attacking them instead!!!
Another death for wood elf noobs is the old falling out of the trees!!!
Another death is playing your iksy and forget you are one and run someplace you shouldn't
