Kurn's Tower

Location:

Field of Bone(Kunark) in a tower at the end of the "newbie pit".

Easiest way to FoB is through Plane of Knowledge.

Where to bind:

I would reccommend binding right outside the zone on the tower. If youre on a PvP server Like I am, Bind somewhere hidden at the base. I learned the hard way, and got bind camped a few times by some level 65 bored players.


Description:

Okay, this is probably the best place for any necro to level from 8ish-24ish.

Mostly undead on the main floor and upper floors, in the basement there are burnyai too, so be careful running around with invis vs. undead on in the basement.

I spent level 4-8 outside Kurn's killing the stuff in the pit nearby until I could mem bind. You'll love leveling here, as there is supposedly some exp bonus as well and its extremely easy to solo for necros. I averaged anywhere from 4 to 8 levels a night in this place, but I am also twinked.

Also when in FoB, remember to watch out for the ikksaar guards. Unless you are ikksaar you are most likely KoS to them.

I agree, Kurn's Tower is a wonderful place of necromancers to solo or group, in a past life (and other server) I hunted there easely from 9-17 before heading to others places. The experience gained is as good as in Paludal Caverns or very close to.

tip: There is a safe place at the end of the main room, on the right side of the entrance, an invisible wall that leads to a small room where no creature ever venture. A great place to meditate or relax. The wall is easy to find, it look like a slightly different colored square of wall just before the stairs leading deeper in the bowels of the cursed Tower.

Nice Noire, thanks for that tip! Didnt know about that one, maybe I can hide from all the PKs that come in to wipe out all the newbs in the tower every hour or so.

Thats when I get frustrated playing on SZ, we have this jerk named Skellyton. He's a 65 mage and he literally makes 10 trips to FoB/Kurns a day just to kill lvl 10 greens!

He also likes to train "The Tangrin" to the PoK book so when we try to get our corpses we have a Huge Gorilla that hits for 250 waiting for us on the other side.

That is exactly why I don't play anymore on pvp server, too many people killing without a good reason but just to piss off younger ones. Why don't you come recreate your necro on Firiona Vie like I did? :lol:
I will try to search for safe spots like this one as I climb (again) the steps of power, will keep everyone informed of course .

This "secret Spot" where is it, is it right as you enter from FoB, or the bigger place, where you walk, toards the upstairs?? Im very curious, because i love that Zone.

I think the Field of Bone is where I went last night. Very good indeed. Much better than the commonlands, I think.

Only problem I had with this spot was that usually someone else would be using spot and not respecting it as a safe spot and pulling the mobs into room to fight them. Not a big deal til they pull to many or cant handle the one and you are afk medding =P.

I used to use a niche in the wall in Kurns. As you walk into the main room from the entrance hall, go right and stay along the wall until you reach the corner. There is a little niche there. If you stay up against the wall, pathers and such won't kill you. I used to use that as my "safe" spot to med and such with any class I've ever played. It's also a good place to pull to. It's out of the way with relatively few pathers nearby.

It could be a possible alternative if the other safe spot is taken. B)
