I found this on necro.eqclasses.com and i figured it could be useful to some of you corpse summoners. Jade Inlaid Coffins and Tiny ones are both sold on the same vendors but I listed them seperately for organization purposes... Enjoy :)

Jade Inlaid Coffins and Tiny ones are both sold on a dark elf in POK behind the great library near the fishing barbarian and he also sells bat wings and other usefull stuff he is just about my favorit vendor you can get you cooking up to level 130 ish for like no plat and in 15 minuts just go but frest fish from barbarian and bat wings from the DE and combine in the range that is also in POK near brue barrel any way i think POK would be the best place to find the coffins and fish rolls are a banquit size meal or somehting large like that and weigh 0.1 so if you have a monk or dont like to buy food all the time just make a bunch of these thats what i do :-)

Bah, who cares what people think?? hehe.. I say that if it helps one person, it's worth it :) I can't tell you how many times a day I help necros in the POK who ask OOC, "Where can I find Black Ceremonial Coffins??" I usually tell them about the vendor in Neriak FQ, next to the soulbinder, but that's only helpful if they're a DE...

I just wanted to add if u have problems..as sometimes happens...with getting to the right loc numbers (I do so I figured others might too..), if you use the new find hotbutton, and look for the satchel vendor in any starting city that supports necros, you can find the tiny black coffins.

I have told so many low necros this on Tunare, I wish some of them new about this site, if I may be so bold, I would like to start suggesting it to them. Personal I think that this site is excellent!

... I know I'm replying to kind of an old post, but I'd just like to add that as any city's satchel seller sells the black ceremonial, the easiest (sometimes) city for people to go to from PoK to get the coffins is Shar Vahl. Unless you've been killing the cats, no-one is KoS there (unless in wolf form), and that's probably the closest city to PoK that sells them. =)

Just thought I'd add this in to help anyone that it may. =) It's the place I end up telling all the players who are looking for them to go to.

I'm pretty much a noobie. I'm only level 55 and I really haven't played this char in 5 years and it was only an alt. But ... is there any real use for Summon Corpse from a Necromancer anymore? There may be but I just can't really see it yet.

I still keep coffins on me, but using them is rare. Last time I did use them was in PoSky, helping a pally get to his 1.5/2.0 npc on island 4. Me and my cleric are keyed up to 5...makes a nice combo hehe.

Other than that I use the corpse call aa on raids occasionally. It's nice on a semi-wipe to banner back in (if it's safe), call my body and be ready to go in a short amount of time if needed.

With the guild lobby many people (even those <20) will summon their body rather than make a CR, so that utility is pretty much gone. Although if you aren't concerned about rezzing, it's cheaper to make the CR even if you spend a coffin to get your body back (70ish per tiny coffin? Soulstones are ~260 naked cha for the level 70 one. ~330 for the 75 one.)

Yup...I'd be broke if I didn't ;) . Lowers the price by about 80pp. But I'm surprised by the amount of people that don't.

As for summoning, I use it most often to get a late member of the group up to where we are if there is no mage with us. It certainly isn't very commonly used now.

I like to keep either a Soulstone or a CBC in the bank. Soulstones are much cheaper with good CHA, and if you're in guild lobby see if a shaman will toss you a CHA buff (Also, remove those nasty -CHA items we seem to get, my Hand of the Reaper is -30 and my ZHeart is -20 *I think*). That way when you die and respawn naked, just head to the Shrewd banker right across from the Priest of Luclin and grab the stone. CBC are cheap even with crap CHA, like 4pp max, but I kept them in the bank because A) They weigh ten stones B) they are Giant so they don't fit in many bags and C) typically its only my own corpse I'm summoning so it doesn't make sense to carry one. A lot of this changes when you get the upgraded Summon Corpse spells.
I think the corpse summoners kind of ruined the Summon Corpse line (and locate/track corpse), that's why I haven't yet camped Summon Corpse near Splitpaw. How much time would it take me to camp that spell? Compare that too how long it'd take me to raise 60pp for a Soulstone. If I find the spell cheap in bazaar I'll buy it, but it's not worth camping anymore.

For the newbies: The Iksar priest of luclin in the mines of glooming deep will summon your corpse for free up to level ten, I've only done this when I had a corpse in the mine but I would assume you could get your corpse summoned from anywhere if you re enter the tutorial below level 10.
