Since this comes up in serverwide so much, I thought I'd post about fhalls.

(Thanks to Decline for telling me about it)

You must have GoD to go to fhalls.

Getting To Forgotten Halls:
Take a wayfarer Magus to Nedaria's Landing. Once there go to the second dock from the Wayfarers Camp.
Talk to the High Elf named Eldros Danmor. You say "interested in visiting" and you get an expedition to visit fhalls.
You then go to the Bear Caves, as soon as you enter go right there is an NPC named Nideno Eliagy, who is a Taelosian female. You say "Forgotten Halls" to her, and the rock behind her glows.
You then click the rock to enter fhalls.

XP:
I went in there at lvl 30, since it is an instanced zone you get mobs appropriate to your level. You can kill rejects/bats/rats in there. You can solo pull them until the 50's when they become social. Don't kill the big golems or you get faction hits.
Fear kiting works well at my level, you may have to aggro kite at higher levels. I just fear kite then tap-tank when i get bored.

It's 2% regular xp per kill or better from what i can tell.

At 65, it's 5-6% aa per kill.

Loot:
Coin and crapola. But at least it is pp and not the zero-loot DSP...

Other stuff:
You can go in solo, or go in a group. The instance will be "sized" to the lowest party member.

Social Info:
Bats are not social all the way to lvl 65.
Rats are not social to each other, same as bats.
Rejects/Earthens are social with Rats and Bats at "some level" some postings say at lvl 50.

Thanks to Sslithee of Tunare for the social testing :)

At lvl 31, nothing is social, can fear kite all day long, up and down the halls, wherever they path.

Good Hunting

So glad that Decline and Xothsis told me about this zone. Zone was great for my lowbie beastlord, but on another note, I tried this at 65, and was getting 4-6% aa per kill. I've determined that rats are the best to pull at this level, as their room is the closest to the entrance, where I've been aggro kiting them. I haven't gotten to test this much yet, as I'm really tired and going to sleep right now, but tomorrow I will do more testing to see the best way to kill. Right now, it appears very doable, but theres very little room in entrance area to kite, and a snare resist on the pull might = death (as it did for me when i pretended i was a SK who could survive the hits while i struggled to cast FD).
Getting a consistent 15-16pp coin per loot though, and the uber rat fur, ears, and whiskers. Anyone who wants to try this out, send me a tell and I'll try and help ya. I know it's going to be hard to learn it, but dear lord, to make the same exp per kill as HoH or PoS and not have to compete with other necros, druids, bards, or whatever, I'll try anything once. At any rate, its awesome for lower levels I would imagine, and will help immensely in those crappy levels where there's nowhere good to fight.

Forgotten Halls difficulty scales horribly with level. At 30-45 you can solo this zone with ease with almost any character. I tried taking my uber-twinked 55 Ogre Shadowknight and 53 Cleric in there to 2-box, and my SK was getting the snot beat out of him by the rats. Routinely hitting for 300+ I wasn't able to stick around without a slower.

Hmmm maybe it has changed but i tried out this zone just 2 days after it went live and the rats were indeed very very social. I cast ED from the max distance i could get--next thing i know i had at least 7 rats gnawing at my bones.

just tried this with my little bard, and for those lowbies, it does indeed kick ass

2% exp per kill...no down time except the little bit it took to heal back to full...one kill knocked me down maybe 1 bubble health..so it was very little healing time involved..

I tried this last night, but somehow along the way I must have screwed up my faction...I can't zone in (even invis) without the Guide killing me immediately....Anyone know how to fix taelosian faction??

I have found that I can kill the little golems in the big room with no problem, but I pulled a rat without knowing of sociality. I am 34 so i didnt think they would come, but in a second there was TONS of lil rodents after me, gated out, saved meh bones and my pet's. Great place if ya stick with the rejects. As stated above, I was getting around 2-3% a kill. Will stick with this place for a bit maybe, it is incredibly easy.

The guide, golems, and pit fighter giant golems are all on Nihil faction. You will need to kill Mastruqs and such in GoD zones to raid Nihil faction. Keep in mind that if you're KOS in Forgotten Halls, you're likely going to be KOS to all of the Nihil NPCs in the Omens of War expansion when it comes out -- so start working on fixing it now. Killing ONE of those giant golem pitfighters took my faction from Apprehensive to Dubious.

Keelover - Stop killing the golems IMMEDIATELY. You're going to roach your Nihil faction and make you KOS. *grin*

I think Keelover is talking about "an earthen reject" when he says "little golems." Those are not on faction (i'm non-kos at least).

I'm killing those along with rats & bats.

Everything else is off-limits afaik (protectors/guides/etc).

Good to know that faction can be fixed too, i'll update the guide.

at 49 i went to test this.
bats and rats are not social.

but at 49 i had crap time there dunno if its their hp or the MR,

i usually use spells in teh following order:
Dooming darkness
Invoke fear
Boil blood
asystole
fear
drain soul
dooming darkness

i have had as much as 5x ivoke fear resists in a row and similar on dooming darkness. all dots land ok but i would ditch dark soul as it gets same type of resists as fear and dooming.

fear can wear of like in 2 seconds or full time either happens. usually 2 sec lasts come every other mob or so.

xp isnt that super at 49. but teh zone gets a pluss for endless mobs. I prefer bats above rats. bats seem the lesser resistant of the 2.

gonna report more as i learn
