Hey all, recently been playing around in Ssra temple a bit and wonder if anyone has any exp here solo at level 65.

I was getting about 2% AA per kill here and after the first 2 or three kills got into a decent killing pace/rythm. My plan was to fight my way to the basement and camp the skellies for the green metal and the VT Shard there but Alas I realized I had no clue how to get to the basement.

Anyways the kills were fairly easy the hardest encounter being a level 58 Elite Temple guard I believe.

I guess my questions are, is there any loot to be had from killing the trash mobs or mobs that are soloable?

How in the H*** do I get to the basement from the zone in :). I saw on my map that the basement seemed to be in the Southern end of zone so made my way south. Ended up clearing a room with mobs between the collums (8 to be exact) and then a room with floating rings on the other side. I was kinda assuming the rings teleport you to another room?

Cleared the mobs in the "ring" room and that's where the Elite guy was. He dropped the Dagger for the bane quest weapons but that's about it other than some random spell. I fought in the Comm room with a group once and could solo the PH's NP, but recall that it required a Rogue to get in.

So any advice on this place? Any nameds that can be soloed? Path to shard camp?

Level 65 Necro with all spells other than Horror and have approx 61AA's so far.

In case someone would like to try here solo my method was just to pull with the AC tap beause I think 100% of the mobs here summon. Have pet guard in the spot you want to fight and have him engage when mob gets there. You running behind pet of course.

Now that pet is engaged SK, FP, then BoT, at this point you should get summoned and time to give the pet a break anyways. You have 3 heavy DoTs on him, and pet beating on him so just stay in melee range and ToM tank as needed. Guess you could melee while your there but I always seem to forget to turn on attack :).

That = dead mob every time for me, and still at about 70% mana when he is dead and SK still running to heal whatever ToM might have missed.

For the elites you have to ToM pretty mush as fast as possible but I never got below 50% health starting with about 4k HP's. But they hit fast and Flurry some as well, max hit was in the mid 300's... Still easier than ToM tanking in HoH or Tactics, which I've done although barely before... Far from effectively I'd even add :). More like trying really hard to not get dead after my pet died and not wanting to give up with mob at 14% Life :).

From the Ssraeshza temple entrance, invisi. up and run directly ahead, opening the door with two temple guards, one on either side. Run all the way down this hall til you come to another hall that extends left and right.

Take the left path, and turn right at the first opportunity. Open this door, which reveals a room with a path down the middle, and spawns on the left and right, with a door at the far end. Dash ahead, invisible, and open the door. Then, head down the right path, until it ends. There will be a door on the right -- open it to reveal a water-tube room. Head inside, hop into the tube, and swim all the way down.

Voila. The basement.

Once inside the basement, with your back to the water tube, head down the stairs and turn right. Run up to the wall, and turn so the wall is now on the right, while you're facing forward. Run straight ahead until you come to a break in the wall, with a mine cart -- Past the mine cart is the Soriz mine, where shards drop from anything inside ( but most frequently the Poxed Soriz ), and Green Metal drops from nameds. These skeletons are all social at 65, and summon. They hit for about 180 maximum, but have tons of health. The shards drop more frequently from deeper inside, but the spawn rate may catch up with you -- My advice? Use the 49 pet to split the spawns, by way of pet-pulling. That's how I soloed the place.

LOL...tons of health on mobs in ssra. Somehow, I think I've said something to that effect (like 1 million times)... although you say it without cussing, oddly enough.

Thanks alot for the directions.

I haven't done the pet splitting much but will try it here. The HP's of mobs on the first floor didn't seem like much at all, notably the casters. The wizzards were great, they sit there and try to cast the whole time while my big 4 DoTs burned them down , ended up with full health on both pet and myself using no taps :).

Do the skellies have alot more health than temple gaurds and such on the first floor? Anyway if they can be slowed unlike the first floor mobs (By Necro) then I would think they would be trivial...

Anyway thanks again and I'll be checking it out. They're not 5-6% per kill like HoH and simular places but I think if I don't take a break from agro kiting I'm gonna puke. Been doing lots of MMC LDoNs solo but the exp stinks. Just want my Horror spell :), Have 400 pts so far.

Not sure if that is what you mean but horror is from everfrost not mistmoore. The mine mobs have some hp aye but if you want to test your chanter skills go down there mezz one mob you will get less mobs then just snare pullings. Then mezz the add or two and pet tank one. Slow them all while keeping up mezz a 30 sec times is a godsend if you dont have one. I never tried charming and killing not sure if that would be a good idea anyone have suggestion on that? Its the only shard I didn't solo.

You can solo it, just not real deep in safely. Standing out by that coal car or whatever that is in front of the mines, suspend CoB and cast your old cracklin bones pet ( 44 I think ). Send him in to the first skelly, then pet hold. He will come back with one skelly and no adds. Hit attack to stop the skelly for a sec, then cast root to hold him while you destroy crackin bones and bring back CoB. Cost you a few bone chips to do it this way, but thats pretty cheap single pulling. The respawn here is pretty quick, but if everything goes smooth, you can pull the first 2 chambers before repops.

Ah, excellent information for me as well. Ssra is one of the last two shards I need, and I tried it earlier with horrible results. Just a quick word about their difficulty, I've read else where that since some of these mobs are shamans, they buff their friends. Charm one and you'll see focus, shammy haste, and sow (indoors even, strange.). I heard that using dispell will make these guys much much easier, but I haven't tried. My first attempt was scary enough that I'm just gonna wait for my guild to raid something besides the comm 1, 2, and 3 camps.

By 'tons', I mean approximately 15,000 health, each, from what I could estimate. And as they can be slowed, they ARE trivial -- on their own.

Problem is, the devs. made the mines in such a way as to ensure that there are NO completely safe camp sites inside the mines where the shard drops most frequently, and that each and every pull will result in two or more skeletons, sans Lull. As such, the problem is not dealing with only a single, Shackled skeleton, but rather how to handle three, or four, or five, and how to kill them all quick enough to beat the respawn spot that you've turned into a ' pull location. '

Poxed Soriz are usually shadowknights, and there are shamans as well. The shamans haste and SoW their buddies, which sucks, but the extra 400 or 500 health from Focus is too insignificant to bother dispelling -- Just shackle and kill.

You -can- pull safely from deep inside, provided you don't mind burning truckloads of bonechips, and you have Suspended Minion 2. Just find an area with a single spawn, kill it and the one or two adds that invariably show up, and then begin splitting spawns with a low-level skeleton pet. Once the skeleton arrives, shackle it, kill the skeleton-pet, and unsuspend Child.

As for not cursing -- I did all my cursing when I soloed the mines for 12 hours before a triple-pull yielded three shards. The Random Name Generator needs work.

The Random Name Generator needs work.

Yes. I hate it when I'm in the piggy room in Tactics and in wanders "a prismatic burrito golem".

I believe I'm being mocked. But while you were poking fun, I was KSing your golem.
