Am i the only person in EQ to notice that our epic is not a ducks head? (if it was id hate to see how big that duck would have been) I would have to say that it's really a sarnak's head which would only make sense. Please post your thoughts on this so we can finaly put this childish duck stick to rest....

It's not a Sarnak because Sarnak's have horns on their heads. Some people consider it a small dragon head as well, but I go with Duck.

i dont care what people call it all i know is it need to be changed to something that looks 1/2 cool and needs some updated stats cause it is sad when you can just go out and buy somehting thats better than your EPIC they should call it your semi epic and come out with whole new epics for all classes and make them the new best wepons

Hey i was in PoK te other night and i heard some ppl chatting about upgrading there epics had something to do with the Epic NPC's at the top of the library.

Just want to know if ther is any merit to this or just B.S

There have been rumors going around for some time now regarding EPIC 2's.

Basically its a new set of quests or whatnot that ultimately lead to an upgraded epic item and yes of course you would need to have your original epic. I havent bothered with my epic since i think it lacks and im not really into that status symbol sh*t. If anything official is ever posted then i may have to reconsider or if im bored then i may go back and work on parts of it that i dont have done already. But thats what i have heard from the rumor mill.

People keep saying the necro epic blows and I just don't understand why. You do realize that with it in hand, you can kill anything snareable with a hp-regen of less than 75/tick, right? And by that I mean solo. That's 75pts of damage, per tick, at a cost of zero mana. Oh, and add to that a 65% movement reduction...

But the epic blows.

yeah but in the time that it takes you to get your epic you could farm and get a Zheart ... ohh yeah and a fungi tunic and a custom clow of motality and a staff of flowing water and just about any thing you wont .. point it takes for ever to get the epic when you can be doing other stuff to farther your necro or alts and it looks gay it's a giant duck head

So with a zheart, I'm only losing 60pts/tick... ghey.

The ONLY time regen is a factor for a necro is when they screw up. Otherwise, if you're liching, you're tapping mobs. Saryn's kiss will more than keep up with her Seduction. Touch of Mujaki is there for a big influx fast.

Yes, our epic has a 9sec cast time. Big deal. Wake the dead is 10sec, but you have plenty of time to cast that, don't you? Pull with epic and it doesn't matter what the cast time is. Then if you can't be bothered to re-cast with epic, use your memmed dark. Any of them after 50 will overwrite it, I believe. But IMO, 75pts/tick for a mere click is a heck of a lot better on the mana pool than Devouring Darkness for 400 mana per cast (with a 6 sec casting time) or even Embracing Darkness (200mana and 3.2sec casting time). Devouring is almost worth using for the damage, but 400 mana is almost a Funeral Pyre.

No, the epic isn't a must have item. But 5pts of regen ain't gonna make or break any good necro.
