Erudite Or Gnome Necro

Erudite Necro start with the highest int of 142 but have no night vision.

Gnome Necro's seem to get played more then Erudites but Gnomes only have 133 int, but they also have infravision, and if I wanted to, I could Tinker.

Based on being kick butt, and for twinkage reasons, should my choice my a Erudite Necro or a Gnome Necro?

amen to that. Ikkys are defiantly the best race for a necromancer with better regen, and better AC.

I never played an Ikky but the problem is the Int - they are the lowest of int is 110. 32 less then the highest of int.

Dark Elf Max Starting int of 134
Erudite Max Starting int of 142
Gnome Max Starting int of 133
Human Max Starting int of 110
Iskar Max Starting int of 110

Doesn't the INT make the NECRO? INT is mana pool right?

int is always a good thing. However, the extra regen of an Iksar can really help when liching up.

Would Z heart be equivelent to The natural regen on ikky?

Ikkys have much greater HP regen at the higher lvls. Zheart would help even more.

Even thought the int suc which means the mana pool must suck - for the regen and ac - ikky's are the best? any other advantages?

Hmmmm...I think this week I'll answer Dark Elf. Definitely go with Dark Elf! Maybe next week I'll say Human. ;)

If you can afford and Z-heart, then you can by the int items to get the iskar int up there. Get int/sta items. So int isn't really an issue. or an iskar with a zheart would kick but!!!!

Go Iksar. They have Regen which is very nice to have for you Lich line of spells.

Gnome dont have that much int thats right, but its not real importent, Gnome got best base sta.
When you play EQ at high end the class is not important, the iteam fix it with all class, but when you not guilded in high end guild i would chose a Gnome, he got the best ballanced stats in my eye's, also they look best =)

hell yeah gnomes are just too damn sexy B) and dont chopose an iksar 20 % exp penalty isent worth it mayB if they got 30 HP a tick that would make up the speed of regen time for there penalty start a gnome or dark elf or any ting but an iksar

yeah i guess if i had to choose between gnome or eur i would choose gnome... but out of all the races ikky would be my choice

Create an Erudite necro and buy or quest for a harvester. Then later, get some other infravision item and upgrade the harvester. :)

form what I have seen ikky make then best race the got good ac and the reg also other ikky dont hate them that is a problem with other race but the ikkys like other ikky no matter what so that helps when in your home town and I just think that ikkys look way cool as a necro B) hahaha

i have made 4 necros to date and have played them all to at least lvl 40 done gear build ups and bugged ever lvl 65 necro i could find on my server as to what race was best and where to put the points. what i found was most 65s told me Iksar was the best for necro due to the regen. i asked why not go with something with a higher int, the reply was always a necro can always find more than enough INt. on doing all of my gear build ups i found iksar again was best. with the natural regen at lvl 65, the 3 regen AAs, the coldain tenth ring and lots of time in LDoN i can get my necro to 61 hp regen per tick, and over that sitting. and thats with my HP at just about 3k which should be more than enough. just my 2 cents hehe

I crumbled and started an Ikky Necro - to many good things to be said about that. Trying to get over the 20% exp penalty, but at lvl 10 the regen is still good. I'm having trouble finding focus items on Tallon Zek server. They got all crap there.
I have pretty decent gear for a twink though.

Good day, my fellow Necromancers. I would not even think of making anything except for a Darl Elf, not because I am a Dark Elf, but simply because of where we start, Ultravision, and great Roleplay options. Think about it. A Necromancer is the master of the dead, right? Well, most Dark Elves are evil and worship The Prince of HATE. Being in control of something that is not longer alive is not sonething many people (in EQ world) really like, how would you feel if I summoned you Father back from the dead to do my biddings and die again? Dark Elves are just the most obvious choice for a Necromancer. They start near East Commons, which we all know is pretty good experience until lvl 10ish, from there you can go to Oasis, West Commons, North Ro Dervs, South Ro Dervs... there are just so many options. The Ultravision does not have to be introduced or have a reason of WHY you want it. Those are just 3 of the 1,000,000 reasons why a Dark Elf is far superior to ANY other race, as far as being a Necromancer is concerned. Until next time, good day, my fellow Necromancers.

i personaly went with erudite for the int i like ikkys and faction can be fixed almost anywhere :) (have yet 2 find Hallas kills for faction, or see an ikky ever go in there) and if infravision is only thing holding you back erudites newbie zone has fire beatles 1 eye cures that and later on most equipment you buy or pick up give off more then enough light or your spells have vision improvement capabilities also so infravision shouldnt be a factor hope this helps

for any one in the whole world that like fanticy i would recomend the books by R.A. salvator start with the homeland triligoy homland, exil, sojurn then go to the icewind dale trilogy then the legacy of the drow series then a buncha others i love em read them all :-)

If i had to choose between the two, i would choose gnome.

Basically, they have something erudites will never have: Tinker. Not that you will use it or anything, but if you want it, it's there.
