I always tell people Burning Woods. I don't know the xp per MOB and the MOBs I hunted (undead) were of varying types and levels, but I'm pretty sure I was still clearing a level in 4-5 hours at lvl 49 killing undead at their fort near the giants. Fairly easy pulls, you can kill them 3 different ways in a safe area, you can grab a roamer or two if you have time and mana between static spawns. At lvl 50 or 51 some spawns started going light blue. Then its time to move to the giant fort or leave the zone.

Burning woods giant fort i did.. no idea about % per mob as it never really came up back then.. (pre PoP)

Constant pulls and easy fear-kite made it my choice.

49: Combine Outpost: 1% I believe but steady easy exp.

50: Dulak Harbor

I did Cobalt Scar wyverns from 49-53. Very easy, single pulls all the way, very few resists, decent loot. Only real problems are having to compete with l;aksdflsds quad-kiting druids and getting port/rezz if you should happen to die ( i died once because someone trained a Bulthar on me and they are unsnareable).

Also at 49 I did the plaguebone skellies in Dreadlands near the druid/wizzie ports. Camp at base of pyamid, and pull the ones in the building there. Darkness, let them come out, send pet, fear, maybe dot, med with preferred hp-mana spell. If you want to bother with KEI it will go even faster. I've heard about the new zone things with pets, so if you want to get your pet buffed, that's all good, too. Whatever makes it easier on you. I stayed here til around 51 and it started to slow down some, but you can drag it out until 52 if you want.

Dulak at 50? I'm not so sure of that guys.. I was soloing Dulak at 45, destroying the place and getting tons of xp. That zone is great, but at 50 might not be so good. Burning Woods is a great zone, a lil boring at times, but theres good xp. Never do the giant camp myself, I stick to the road and camp the various mobs in the zone (Gorillas, hornets, skellies, etc). I was getting about 1-2% per kill. Howling stones could be a lil rough. I remember zoning in one time to find myself surrounded by a bunch of mobs, and very easily overwhelmed. Of course, this was not with my necro so no idea of how I'd fair. To get there, go to OT, and use your map.. Really easy to get to, just go into the ravine.. might wanna invis to avoid the scorpion guy aggro. You could also try Skyfire, just gotta watch what you're hunting though. There are quite a few mobs in there that dispel.. You could also run around in EW and fight the giants there, nice loot and easy xp. As for an undead area to go into, well you could fight in KC there are quite a few of em in there. You could go to Veksar, off of Lake of Ill Omen.. Really easy to get to, not quite sure of how tough the mobs are but Ive heard of lvl 55 necros tackling the place. Could get some nice drops in there too. :D

Veksar is going to be your undead zone at 55ish. The sentries and crusaders up the ramp from the goblins. The first named has a PH of a phantom which will probably ruin your day if you don't have a healer for your pet. All the rest, except the phantom and spawn right next to him, are meat for you and your pet (49 or 56) with shackle, shadowbond, BoD, Splurt, and Ignite Blood. Seven spawns.

I tried Nadox undead and they beat the crap out of the 49 pet even when shackled. I had to mana dump chloroblasts via my druid to keep him alive for the couple I killed. I haven't been back since I got the monk pet but it's probably not efficient until you get emmisary of thule or higher anyway.

And of course there's LGuk. I plow through the entire dead side and kill all named from the frenzy and sentinel to the ghoul lord. The only non-undead is the hand who can be defluxed down without a hassle.

I posted a guide a week or two ago about soloing Katta. 13% xp bonus... at 48 am getting over 2 blues for a round of mana (5-7 guards). My pet can solo a guard with mage weps or if i put a couple little DoTs, while I am killing another. It gets boring, but its constant, and the loot is good (Validus Custodius Weapons, Armor, and PP on every kill). You can stay well into 50s and up to 60 if you find the harder guards down stairs or at the TS zone line.

Have fun,

Alot of folks don't know this... But Dulak harbor is one of those zones that you can live in! the range of mobs are so great. level 45 all the way up to level 65 can be obtained in this zone... Is it the most exciting zone in the world? Hell no! two spots that would be very prosperous at level 55 would be the high level boat... [ never camped ] the name of the boat eludes me right now... but it is the only one with casters... It is a nasty camp and tough to hold even at 65. Personally, my favorite camp post 55 is deep.. deep.. deep in the lugald caves. get yourself a good invis.. go into lugald cave... go strait, never turn off after some windy turns and go ito the final door where there is a large room. There is about 10 spawns in there that will keep you busy... by the time you can clear them at that level they will start spawning again. There are two named in this room but the loot leaves something to be desired. You can fear kite these guys.. but you have to good at close quarter fearing or you will have some nasty adds. I dinged 65 in that very room. Whenever I have the urge for some mindless AA grinding I go there. There are spots where AA xp is much much better, but I can kill really fast there and the risk is almost zero at 65. anyway... enjoy

Another advantage of dulak is the quests it offers. Get the 4 medallions of service, then bring them into Neriak to get a Charm of the Brotherhood (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=19951), which you can either use or sell in bazaar for about 1-2k. Its not really a great charm, only improving when you group with membor of the same class or race.. But still, it s a nice lil bonus for hunting in Dulak. Also, you can usually find ppl camping the nameds in the zone, and saying stuff is rotting. I can average about 5k in that zone just by pickin up the lore items others leave to rot! Also, gem drops are pretty nice too, though seem to be pretty rare. There is an extremely rare spawn, not sure of her name, but it is a dark elf scout looking type mob. Shes a few lvls higher than the scouts at the entrance, spawns a lil bit out in the large area, and drops a +5 int bracer! Shes an easy kill for a bracer thatll sell for 1-2k. Overall, dulaks is a great zone, but it gets boring and xp gets slow after awhile. I like the above idea of kattas, might hafta try that out soon :D

As far as Katta, I mainly did the TS dock people outside Katta for lvl 51 and 52 (each level in 5 hours or so) and then moved to the Katta graveyard until 54, but then it slowed WAY down. I then moved mainly to Veksar until 56 and then mostly to PoN for treants/ravens.

Seafuries/Gornit in OOT. Loot is pretty decent and the exp is around 1% per kill, give or take and you can also keep an eye out for Ancient Cyclops if you don't have jboots, or want to make acouple k and MQ it. I usually setup camp by Gornit (Hill Giant, drops lots of plat, FS weapons).
