Just a little observation to warn anyone hunting POP zones for AA xp. If you level to 66 your AA xp per mob will drop in about half. So if you want to do alot more AA XPing in your favorite POP zone then thats something to consider for sure.

AA xp isn't cut in half in PoP, it depends what is the level of the mobs you fight.
We get a bonus for hunting mobs within 5 levels of our own, so you now need to hunt 61+ mobs to not loose this bonus.
I've XPed in Fire and Earth since OOW and XP is just fine. If you not EP or KT flagged you can always do Tipt/Vxed solo for more than decent xp.

anyone happen to know what the XP soloing Vxed/Tipt is per mob at 66 (assuming 100% going to XP)?

Ok let me correct my post. If your NOT elemental flagged, Then your xp In POP will be cut in half. HOH guards? instead of 6 blue ticks, youll get three (or Half)

I still get about 1.5% in the Veksar kennel. There are options for AA, at least at 66, but I'm more worried about regular experience now. BoT is all I've been able to get, and it blows. I got about 10% in an hour and a half at lightning.

it's all relative. when you get to 65+, you'll see what he means.

That is the reason I think people would like to see the iksar XP penalty go away. Some say that there isn't really an upgrade to iksar regen beyond level 65. If this is true, there shouldn't be an iksar XP penalty beyond those levels. /shrug, I have no idea either way as I am only level 56. But when I get there, hopefully there will be some XP improvements.

Also, don't ignore that while killing things closer to your level reduces the amount of AA/reg xp you get from each kill, as you level up you can kill them faster.
Once you have level 66-67 spells, you should have more than compensated for the loss of xp due to levels and in most cases should be AAing faster due to increased speed of the kill. Even without the new spells, the increase in your stats makes it a close call as to whether you really are losing xp over a given period of time.
It is not AA per kill that matters, it is AA in a given period of time that is important.

All true, especially XP over time and not just per kill, I would agree with that. But, going to level 66 from 65 and noticing your AAxp cut in half is something I just wanted to warn everyone about. Something that if you wanted to really concentrate on some AAxp would be an important bit of information. Hopefully, OOW spells will be easier to obtain then GOD spells, at least till 69 and 70. It will all play out down the road i suppose.

GoD trials, EP's, and some OW zones seem to be the spots to grind xp if you're over 65.
BoT xp is slow at 66, I'll agree.
Soloing Vxed on my ranger, at 66, killing a level 64 mob got me a smidge of levelling xp. I have not tried AAxp there since hitting 66; though I expect it to go down because I don't believe the within 5 level bonus was a flat bonus, I believe it was based on the level difference (the bonus was better with a 1 level difference than a 2 level difference, and better with a 2 level difference than a 4 level difference).
As for OW spells being easy or ahrd to obtain, I believe the runes are tradeable, at least for the first couple levels of the expansion. So those spells will be easy enough to obtain soon enough, especially if people start to XP in OW (for the non EP crowd).

I disagree: I may be wrong, but I've done AA XP at the same spot at different levels, and it seems to be basically the same until they drop more than five levels below you, when it drops by about half.

Fire mobs are level 68 in castle 2, and don't seem to drop off for level exp. Your levels get longer, so exp per kill does indeed seem to get smaller, but it's all relative. I was getting 1.5 exp per kill at 68 in muramite proving grounds solo. Alot of mobs there are still yellow to 68, so that flat 5 bonus will never go away there, and it's an unlocked zone. Ruined city of dranik had some high conning mobs to, which could be another option.
Exping at 70 in hoh is kinda like exping in Chardok at 65...it's time to move on.

I have a question about muramite proving grounds Jeb. Is that the zone off of Wall of Slaughter? Is it instanced? Do the mobs summon? I tried hunting in Wall of slaughter solo but every single mob is a caster and Summons, making life very difficult for any soloer, and not worth the effort. My only concern is getting to 70 and having very few places were you can once again grind aaXP at a decent rate.
