Must-have Quest Items

So far, I've gotten 2 quest items after reading posts on this board: the Fine Antique Ring and the Writ of the Fallen. I love both of them, and I really enjoy doing quests (I didn't start playing EQ just to kill stuff). So, does anyone have any other quest items that they recommend? I am level 30 now but not uber-twinked, so any item would be helpful, even lower level items.

hey Cthulha, check out this website Allakhazam (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/zlist.html) the link takes you to the quest by zone. just select a zone and check out the quest name and reward name it shows what classes that are recommended to do the quest and if you click the link for the quest name it qives you a complete walk through for the quest...

Thanks for the suggestion Vavra.. I've actually done that.. but I'm impatient so I was wondering if anyone could just name off a few items, so I could go straight to the quests without searching around.. Not to mention that since I'm a cheapskate and can't afford the premium membership, I get bombarded by popups.. AND, I was kinda hoping that people could recommend items that they have actually used, and have found to be helpful.

I hate those pop ups too so I use this. Google Toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com/) to block those annoying pop ups

level 30 eh? well i think its about time you could get your jboots if you want a quest thats takes a little time and patience... but is pretty easy...

the result is a pair of journeyman's boots... keep em in your inventory and make a hotkey of em and right click or press the number key for insta 35% speed increase...

they are a great tool for necromancers, as kiting is a major one of our strategies

i did the AC at level 30 solo and it was kinda hard... but since its the only mob you have to kill you can just kinda use your whole mana pool on him...

A really easy necklace quest is in Kurn's Tower and it is the only one. Just get a glowing skull from one of the skeletons and head upto the dining room. Keep killing the thickboned skeleton till the skeletal Cook spawns and hand him the skull. He will reward you with Skull of Torture. Skull of Torture has a few nice stats which I can't remember atm and a Focus Effect of 20% extra spell damage which helps out some on kiting.

Hmm.. the Jboots quest seems a little hard.. I may wait on that one. I will definitely go get the Skull of Torture.. Thanks DS.

yah that skull is pretty cool... but its too bad its only BA 1 so it only works on spells up to 20... but its still good i spose if you're using those spells

the Int that it gives will help her out some. I am still trying to find a BA II quest so I can replace the Ring of the Golbin Lords that I was given at lvl 1 by some friendly nice.

i would recomend doing the coldian military wristguard quest and have buddy help you kill korf broken hammer cause he still dark blue at 58 but is all melee so is easy enough to kill BA 3 sells to level 60

If you want BA 2 just buy a serpentine bracer...theyre very cheap in bazaar.

I guess this would be a "nice to have" not a "must have" anyway, you said you loved questing.

Print yourself a map of droga and it's basically a "fed-ex quest." The mask isn't so great but the spell haste is nice.

at 30-34 you could start killing drakkel wolfs and maybe the lower end giants in GD, and work on your shawl.

and http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=1869 is the last one.. it's one of the longest(if not THE longest) quests in the game, hehe.

Depending on the gear you already have, you might want to do some of the Solusek Ro quests: the Harvester is quite decent and the gloves aren't bad, not sure about the others. The biggest problem you're likely to have is killing the shadow men since you'll still get adds at 30, but if you can bring a couple of friends along you can probably do OK.
