Please could anyone list some good places to grind exp / aaxp from undead creatures ? I'm not looking for a cakewalk but with limited time to play (having recently dinged 57) I'd like to investigate our classes AA as well as grinding through the last few hell levels. Any help is much appreciated

PoV or pon gargs are gonna be your best exp...maybe pos frogs. None of which are undead..but such is life in eq.

My favorite zones have lately been a combination of veksar and howling stones.
I'd say I spend about 70% of my time in Howling Stones - 3/4 of the mobs are undead, but when you get a 'live' one it forces you to stay awake and keep jabober alive...
Loot is pretty good -- my typical 3 hour session yields about 500 p; not uber but not shabby either.
My favorite thing about Howling Stones is that it's never crowded, and mobs don't warp on ya.

I've been killing undead in Nadox, but they're pretty tough to solo. Normally I do it with my druid healing my pet but I can manage all the non-named solo with my 56 necro using shadowbond and off-tanking. The named enrage so they are significantly harder.
All MOBs are 50+ and hit for 180+ and have more than a few hp. The named are even or yellow to 56 and enrage. XP is okay, not great. The drop a lot of cash loot gems and stuff plus a good ring rarely.
The entrance to Veksar is easier but loot isn't as good. XP is probably about the same.

PoS frogs are the best xp by far but they have so many hp its not really worth it at 57, i would suggest you aggro kite the forest mobs in PoM, for me at 56-58 its been 1% regular xp a kill and 3% aaxp a kill, mobs are pretty easy, theres a couple mobs to avoid tho, the malodorous skunks and the puckish mushrooms, they are just about immune to poison and disease so they can be a real pain in the butt. For undead veksar is about it, the first few undead tho are really crappy xp, as an iksar at 57 it took about 5 kills to get 1% regular xp, other good thing about PoM is you can get a lot decent research parts. Nadox might be good, never done it myself so i can't say first hand, seems like more work than its worth tho. HS is a fun zone but you can get a lot of mobs on you really quickly if your not careful and the groundspawn keys can be annoying to find if you don't know where to look.

I've been trying to AA grind at 56 as well. I was looking forward to SCM and the 9th spell slot.
However, after trying several locations, I just don't think its worth the effort to do it a 56. I'm not even in a rush to levels. However spending 60hours to get the 20ish AA's that I want seems mindnumbinly boring, with very limited reward options. But then again, the only spell that will actually improve my character via levels is at level 60 (GE is about the only place I am able to find a group and use Mind Wrack (LDON is dead on TM at these levels). I'm also not looking forward to pyrocur, as it will really only help me while soloing in PoN - but it's not neccessary)
I like howling stones alot, but I don't think the exp reward is worth the effort at 56. Atleast for the areas I have been in, If level 59 with Dire charm, thing might be different. But again, you would still need to have grinded out 20+ AA.
The loot is pretty good though, if you are willing to go into the north wing (always expect to have an add before you start an attack heh).
POS frogs are way to much effort for me to solo kite - especiallysince I prefer using my skullcap. I usually mess up at some point, and then it regens like 10% health before I realize what the hell happened.
Exp-wise, PoN is about the only efficient location it can be done I think, yet that is very very boring. (Damn I wish HS gave better exp - such a fun place good amount of risk to not get bored, good loot, no trains from others, varied hunting tactics required - splitting, tanking-undead, pet tanking, nuking down the spell casting undead, a few summoning mobs).

At 56, PoN is the fastest place I've found for solo xp, fear-kiting the four static raven spawns and aggro kiting the first static treant between repop on the ravens. I ground out two AA and put them into regen, for no particularly good strategic reason at 56. This is in addition to the run3 I already got around level 54.
Even this spot in PoN is about 3 hours per AA so your 60 hours for 20 AA is about right.
Now I'm a few kills from 57, and don't plan on getting anymore AA for a while.
Once I get 59, I'll probably goof around pet tanking some undead in Nadox and Veksar again, and maybe accumulate an AA or two.

Im not sure if it would be too high or not but, Chardok B is mostly undead and if you stay near the zone to Chardok it is relativly safe. You can single pull to the ZI and not get any adds.

Prior to hitting 55, I was grinding away in The Deep, Griegs End and Chardok Groups. I managed to get Run3 Regen3 by 54. WHen I hit 55, I immediately went to PoV to see what all the fuss was about.
Now I am a PoV addict, have added 10 more AA points, plus 2 levels. All in 8 days at 2 hours a day. I average about 3-5% AA per kill, and 1-2%xp per kill.
It is beggining to fade off a bit, but still insane xp. Get 55, get to PoV, the hell 50's will go quick.
One note, as a necro in a PoV group, sometimes you job is to aggro-kite the adds.....not too hard with run3. It is rare that I have been in a group with a chanter....so dark em, splurt, CoC, IB, EB and run while boner beats em up...till the group can come in.

One of the best undead xp zones Ive found when u hit 60/61 is Halls of Betrayal. If you can get to it all of the mobs around the entrance single pull are undead and u can pet tank em quite well. 61 is best due to the pet but 59 pet does a pretty good job on em.
I know this is a few levels away but it gives u a chance to get faction with chardok so u can actually get there )

Halls of Betrayal = Chardok B . Just want to save any confusion for anyone who doesn't know.
