How many necros here actually like the damn clickie pet? I haven't gotten my epic yet, but I'd prefer some other effect more appropriate for us. Like increase the chance to crit with dots by 1000% or something. Poo on mages!

I read that thread. Remember mages are a wee bit bitter right now and so quick to point fingers. Just redirect their angst at beastlords and the nerf will pass us by. They hate Beastlords.

Overall mages are in a nice upswing right now. The pets are very nice and coth is very useful right now in a group, not just in raids. I eat rods like candy too. Mages have good nukes and their new big nuke is from a tradable rune. Wizards have been bitching that mages are getting too close to their dps on mobs that are resistant to fire. (wizards don't have mala).

To be honest, if I were bored with my current necro (which I am not) I would consider leveling my mage up because they are cool. I have added a (particular) mage into my short list of people to group with recently because of their use in omens. Nothing will come of this silly epic comparasion.

The number 2 thing that lowered my DPS was having to Feign to clear my agro. (Which btw feign only gives you about a 50% chance of clearing agro.)

So for the Raiding Necro the agro reducer is a HUGE deal. (Same for the Raiding Mage.)

Anyone else find this funny?

The 4-6% or whatever agro reduction focus on our epic isn't even enough to allow you to skip an FD when you would need to without it.

50% chance to clear agro? that's bullshit too. it's very close to 100%, you just have to know how to FD properly.

I responded on their little trail of tears...mages are without doubt the biggest group of bitches in EQ. They always want either what we have..or what we have nerfed.

They get a 400point damage shield and a belt and weapons that adds like 900hps to their pet, and bitch about our epic. Nevermind that the last guy for our epic is going to hold much of our community back from getting it, they just have to get runes.

If I had a 400point damage shield I'd be soloing Vyemm not posting on messageboards.

WOW...just wow. I'm so embarrased the first asshat was smart enough to blunder upon necromancer for character creation...I'm almost speechless. I dunno... I played a ranger for a few years as a main and still visit some ranger boards and they bitch constantly. Some may say that they have a reason too but Christ, every day there are 10+ new threads about something to bitch about. I wish I was exaggerating.
