View Full Version : 1.0 epic
I never completed my 1.0 epic simply because I didn't need the scathe, but I decided to finish it up and maybe then move on to the 1.5 epic if I can. I went into Chardok this weekend and got the manisi herb, and I have done the turn in's immediatlly following, so I am now at the point where I do the turn in, in Lake Rath to spawn the 3 mobs. Anyone who has done these guys want to give me any pointers ? I have solo'ed my epic up until now, can these guys be solo'ed or do I need a group...or two ? And last, if I screw it up, that mean starting all over ? Thanks !

One group most likly could take them. However if you don't have the sky part slime blood or eye of inny may just want to do the shortcut for 1.5 instead. Took me 3 groups to do werewolves and my hydra team for the rest. Finished it in like 3/4 hours and turn ins.

You could do it with a group or less. You would be hard pressed to do it solo, as the mobs are quite resistant, and have a surprising amount of HP. It probably isn't worth the risk, as you would have to do that part of the quest again.
I did the fight with our guild Warrior (lvl 65) who was botting his 65 cler. He said the mobs were barely hitting him, but it took a while nonetheless.
Good luck with the fight!

Less than a group could take them easily nowadays. You could probably solo them quite well if you can channel through year-long Gangrenous Touch of Zum'uul casts while being beat on (they aren't that resistant to disease, but can always hit them with a debuff just in case I guess [don't recall their poison resistance offhand however, which is the check on the Scent line iirc]).

scent seems to be disease or poison based for me.. if they resist those dots i cant land scent of terris.. kinda defeats the object really

Scent of Terris was in a line of spells that desparately needed an upgrade. I am rather pleased with Scent of Midnight, the upgrade we recieved.

That's right; we're considered a debuffing class once again, and are expected to use it on raids. One of these days, I'll get around to making a hotkey for it. B)

Take a look at the timeframe the other 3 spells were introduced into our lineup; original eq, and kunark.. then recall what content was available during those eras.
So, the answer to both of your questions is, yes. :P
