Someone mentioned that there was a "back way" in chardok to the herbalist. (epic 1.0) I have an ally channy friend who is going to assist me down there but we want to take the shortest route posable (least or NO fighting)

invis & invis vs undead

does anyone know the "back way" ?? If so.. can you discribe it or.. better yet. take SShots of the map and plot it out.

this would be MOST usefull.

There are two ways down to the bank and herbalist (and Chardok B zone). One is through the first gate you see.. bottom of the U formed by the zone in and zone out. The other way involves floating into a tunnel that is just past the first gate.. I believe this is the "back way". It is quicker.. but you still pass..hrm.. 50 MoBs?

Both ways have a mix of live and undead things.. both have the potential for see invis mobs.

If you are KoS you *will* fight, or need to be Call of the Heroed.. or corpse dragged and rezed.

Ok flame me.. if you have a pre-nerf circle and Innate IVTU.. or if you are going to Harmshield run like hell and FD or zone into Chardok B.. I suppose you could. But considering normal (sane?) options, you fight -or- a non-KoS person gets you there.

Spend the time to faction.. it's not that bad, honestly. Then you can walk down and cherry pick named all you like. And, since *you* are a rezing class.. you can /corpsedrag two of *your* friends down there.

ok ill try to direct a KOS death run...

zone into chardok invis and head towards "castle gate" from entrance... run through the gate to bridge go off bridge and fd. U now float gently down into the slave room.

Now Harmshield run out of slave room take first left. first right. and you should see a second bridge... off this edge and run down through the waterfall and you should see a small cubbyhole... click on the lever u zone into chardok B.

Not ever been to chardok previous, or big on killing sarnaks. I went to nurga to lvl. After killing 350 (approximate) goblins, I can walk anywhere in chardok. If your thinking of epic, I assume killing 350 green goobies would be a cake walk. walk up to herbalist, shake hands and then do battle....

Have fun...

OMG I wish I knew that, before now. FYI it is possible to run the long way round with SOW, Harmshield and a HoV for comfort. Done these loads of times, get hit a bit, but never died yet so long as you zone into Chardy B straight away. Obviously need to check zone first as I reckon the train will be easily 50 mobs by the time your done. However, I like Mall's route much better :)

As For walking up and laying the smack down on Herbie, give it another thought. As of yesterday, I was grinding some inside Chardok B. Just for shiz and giggles, I decided I was going to try and pull Herbie to the B handle zone and get a mansini herb. So, I have my Max Ally cleric pull herbie with Mark of richeous ( reverse DS ) Cleric is lvl 66. I had aproximately 15 mobs follow herbie. All dogs and apprentices, even the off duty that are in the hall near there. You will need to mass kill or snare split herbie, lots of mobs are aggroed even at max ally to them.

Learn to use indirect agro (agro by rooting the mob next to ph/herbalist for example) and you'll only get 2 mobs max.

OK now i can show my herby pulling technique....

NEED:

1 good faction rooter with 3 min root (paralysing earth for necros)
1 puller (doesnt need to be good faction but is helpful)

METHOD:

Good faction rooter gets herbalist target then stands in cubby within click range of Chard B.

Puller goes and tags herbalist.. NOT WITH SNARE... you want him running at you fast

zone into chard b soon as you go rooter roots herby and clicks out.

Good faction zones immediately back in and calls puller in if they dont have faction when its safe...

MObs will reset herby be rooted... kick his ass ;)

GL

The bonus of this technique is you can get faction for killing ph/herby back in chard B while waiting on the respawn
