While you are in Cobalt Scar, spend all of your down time fishing. The arctic wyvern hides are used in tailoring, but need one cobalt cod for every hide - and the fish are a whole lot rarer to find in the bazaar!
Othmir fur is also used in high end tailoring, and are more coveted than the wyvern pelts because they can take you to max tailoring, and because they require less farming of other parts.

Actualy I have 800 cobalt cods for my tailoring but no hides. I refuse to pay 250pp per hide so I am stuck PLing there or clearing them all before repop while druid yell at me cause they can't get quads.

Lol, that's so funny, I have oodles and oodles of pelts... I started refusing when people offered them to me for free! And they can be found on vendors here all the time. The cod I have only seen available in the bazaar twice ever, and that was for 50 and 100pp per. I'm just not patient enough to sit and fish, especially not on a PvP server, but I just can't get my hands on them anywhere.
Now, if you were talking hopper hides... superb are going for 250ish, and flawless for 400pp... now those prices make me want to poke my eyes out. At least the wyvern hides have a better drop rate in my experience.

Yeah I mean wyvern our bazaar is nothing but morons who decided they could mark their prices to twice reasonable price. Then they buy anyone else who sells for lower so short of living in zaaar tough to get supply.

Yes, Cobalt Scar is an excellent zone for the late 40's early 50's necromancer.
You can pharm while you can exp.
let's talk about the zone somewhat...
Wyverns and drakes along the top of the plateau, othmir and bulthars along the beach. Where there is no beach you can find sirens. They will also be in various locations in the water.
Othmirs have merchants available but there is no bank in the zone, but there is a bank in Skyshrine.
there is a named wyvern and a named drake that can and will aggro on you if your level is too low or you pull a mob by them. Don't kill them .... if you get aggro I would zone into Skyshrine or Siren's Glen. If you kill them you will take a hit to your CoV faction. And you do have to have at least Dubious CoV faction to hunt there on top of the plateau. Or, of course just FD till your enemies have forgotten you.
If you want to hunt there while being KoS then invis as soon as you port in and head for the beach. You can then pull the static wyverns, along the cliff, down to the beach and fear kite them there.
I preferred to be at least dubious so I could fear kite on top of the plateau.
Snare from a distance, time your fear cast so they are rather somewhat close to you, send in your pet and cast whatever. Observe how long your fear lasts and how long your snare lasts and work it from there. Also observe their path when feared in case they get too close to another mob. If the named wyvern is too close to another wyvern then just fear it (your fear will land on the named a high majority of the time), snag the other wyvern and pull away from there. If you want, you may want to fd as quickly as possible. if the named still comes back at you then fd again.
You may want to get your skyshrine key so that you can use the zone for selling and banking. The mob that has the key is an easy kill although it is in a room with other mobs. I am sure your fd pull skill will be up to the challenge. You will take a very slight hit to your CoV faction.
The Loot for the zone is cash, gems, spells, and hides. I pretty much kept all the wyvern hides I looted which totalled close to 180 during the levels I was there. Wyvern hides sell between 100 to 150 plat in the bazaar.
CS is not busy much nowadays so you can have some real fun there and not run out of mobs.
good hunting!

I started to go to POM at 69 using my 2 of my new spells lvl 68 and pet to aggro kite mobs near zone in. Most are LB and DB enough DB to keep me happy some.
I decided to go to the Dastardly Rascal's to see what I could do against them and that was much better. All are DB and much better exp and great research items drop from them and easy pulls, I did all the ones outside, then split the two going into the Castle. Had to go afk so went to end and re-started again before I had to go.
Heading into Castle next time to see how I can do.
BTW there are some named mobs that can be done solo also, they were pretty hard actually but nice no drop items on them if you have anyone with you. I was able to land the new slow spell on them all.
Actually started their for research components, and have 2 peeps that like to tag along as mobs to them were White and Yellow so they got nice exp and company to talk with was nice also. (Not that I talked alot) To busy pulling, non stop pulls also there. So far 1 full yellow toward lvl 70 solo in 4 days now.
In case it matters I did this without V or buffs, self buff only, don't get hit because they quad in the 350 to 400 hp area, I have 3116 hp's self buffed and that was plenty against them, keeping rune up just in case. None summoned outside or the 2 as you enter castle.
In my opinion during the week when I don't have alot of time it's great spot.

Clearing between PoM AA/BB in the castle is xp very similar to HoH guards, I did it whenever I needed a break from HoH between 62-65 until I got my Fire flag. I used to duo there with Umbrello too and I remember him preferring it to HoH.
I certainly couldn't solo AA/BB then but on my server there was always a group happy to have an addition on them when I got one to pop - and you can easily just leave them up and keep everything else clear, no danger of running out of mobs.
