Just calling to let you fellow red-server necromancers and bluebie duelists who think you're hot shit know that the patch made Soulspike and (possibly, I've yet to test it, but had it land on me with 400+ MR..) Fang of Death are now affected by the bonus resistance-checks that Touch of M., S.Kiss, and N.Beckon were. Have fun with the 1,400 damage critical lifetaps. See ya.

where'd you see this? Lucy doesn't report any changes on any of those spells

I know. Either the SPDat values aren't updated, or else Lucy is wrong.
However, Soulspike now works as well as Touch of M.
Scent of Midnight lands on 400+ DR/PR.
Fang of Death lands on 400+ MR.
The rest of the spells still seem to suck, or have only been minorly improved. Got Dark Nightmare and Chaos Plague to land on 200 MR and DR, but ...
Coulda been a fluke.

eh, its just a little bit more of an edge a necro can use.

Post about PvP resists for DoTs and lifetaps on EQLive forums and /feedback it in game. I post it all the time and no one ever supports it, even though it effects like 7 classes because No DoTs at all over 66+ have PvP resists

Soulspike, Scent of Midnight, and Fang of Death now DO have PvP resists. Whether or not Lucy shows them at the moment doesn't matter -- I've been testing them all night long on people in my guild -- the partial and total resists on Soulspike start at about the 440+ MR mark, and get worse as you approach 500+. Fang lands on 500+ MR with one or two tries, and Scent has an easy time on sub-400 PR/DR. It may bounce a few times on 400+, but it WILL land with a few attempts. This isn't a fluke -- been testing it for hours.

I assume this:
12-17 01:29 Changed Pvpresistcap from 0 to -400
12-17 01:29 Changed Pvpresistcalc from 0 to 136
12-17 01:29 Changed Pvpresistbase from 0 to -300
is how lucy expresses the change...

Seems so. Now the six-million dollar question is: why update these three spells for necromancers, and leave the others with non-updated resist codes?
Oh, well. Just these three are a massive help.

Are you sure they didn't? I see similar changes to Dark Nightmare, Pyre of Mori, Chaos Venom, Ancient: Curse of Mori, and Ancient: Touch of Orshilak...just not as pronounced in the non-lifetap lines.

I guess Lucy was a little slow getting those up, all looks to be there now. Not great, but still a huge improvement.

Indeed. The upgrades to the resistance check on Pyre of Mori, etc., leaves a LOT to be desired. Maybe they'll be improved.
