Why would you like to become a Master Potter? You have your own reaasons, I'm sure, but one of the best reasons is for the Shawl Quest. Yes, that quest where you do nothing but tradeskills and farming. When looking up the quest, I figured out a way to become a Master Potter (122 skill). This is also the cheapest way. You can get to 102 skill with less than 20pp. More if you have bad luck. Anyway, here's how:
Combine in Pottery wheel (the bar stool thing ahead as you enter the bank)
1 Small block of clay (from left-most vendor, stackable)
1 Bowl Sketch (from 2nd to the left-most vendor, stackable)
1 water (buy water at Morden's, to the right after you cross the bridges )
That's it! However, that will only take you to 102 skill. If you happen to make a bowl, just destroy it and continue (the vendors will NOT buy this from you.
When this trivials out at skill 102, switch to Medium bowls (which trivial out @ 122):
1 Medium bowl sketch
1 Block of Clay
1 water flask
Also combined in the pottery wheel. Enjoy yourself to beocme a master potter! :D

hmm yeah sometimes its just nice to start high with trade skills (i.e making an item that trivs at 100s when you're at slvl 0) but it ususally seems cheaper to make cheaper items first... but then again, now that i think about it you could be right considering you wouldnt have to have extra materials lying around after an item is trivial ah nvm im just babbling good guide
im already i think 140s potter so sadly i cannot use this guide hehe

lol, sorry about that. It's in Thurgadin (Velious).
HOW to get there:
1. Go to PoK
2. Take the Great Divide Portal
3a. Follow the stream to Thurg.
3b. If you did not see the stream, just drop to a lower elevation and use the map via 'backspace.'
3c. Looking at the PoK book, just hug the wall right behind it. You want to head LEFT.
Really sorry about that, didn't look it over.

Cheapest and fastest way to near 200 in pottery......poison vials.
Go to Nektulos and Neriak and hit all the merchants and buy, buy, buy LQ hides and zombie skins......then go to Neriak Foreigner Quarter and buy sketches from the Ogre female at the bar with the Human bartender......water can be purchased from the food vendor 2 doors down.....the pottery wheel and kiln are right there, very little running around except to hoard skins.
Now make poison vials in order of difficulty and visit this site for more advice: http://www.eqtraders.com/articles/news_page.php

Draz, You have a shared bank now. Take another toon in there or create a newbie mule for the job. The cheese vendor and bank are in the same building.

Just to add:
My experiences with tradeskillz have taken me to many lands, MOST of which I am KoS or told to flat out go away! Create an Enchanter/tress, raise the Char as high as it will let you, then afford to grab some Char items. Lvl him/her to 12 or so just to "seem" respectable and get your Illusion Spells. Can be done in an hour or two with out much problem or twinkage. Now you have a tradeskill machine!!! You can cast appropriate Illusion along with Alliance. You now not only can go anywhere to buy, but you will get the best possible price to boot. This also works for getting those spells from places that you are KoS.
Got to love the shared bank slots!
